Have you heard of Sweet & Sassy?? If not, send me a message and I'll tell you all about it. You daughter will LOVE LOVE LOVE it there!!!! (it's close to Yorktown mall)
I am close to having my third baby and I'm looking for something fun to do with my oldest who is 4 1/2. I would like to take her for a girls' day out and have our nails done. I'm looking for a place close to Lombard/Elmhurst that is not too expensive and would welcome my daughter. She is very well behaved and mature for her age so she wouldn't cause any trouble. Does anyone know of a place like this? Thanks!

I have taken my oldest with me to get her nails done since she was around 3. I think any nail place will be fine with it. A plain old nail place rather than a salon will be your best bet for prices. I am usually only charged $10 to have her hands and toes painted. We have been to (sorry I don't know the names) the one at St. Charles and Addison Rds by the paint store, the one in Riley's parking lot in Elmhurst, the one in the Dominicks parking lot at 355 & Roosevelt, and the one by Century Tile on Roosevelt Road just west of Meyers.
I don't know how much they would charge for services for your daughter but when i got married, I had services done at A Shear Encounter on Vallette in Elmhurst. Love that place! We brought my niece (she was 5 at the time) to have her nails done with the rest of the bridal party (she was the flower girl) and she had a blast.
I think their menu is on their Website - do a search. Have fun, what a nice treat!
Hi M.,
If she's well behaved you could probably take her most anywhere...there's a place that is reasonable in Darien called Nice Touch Nails...have fun!
From what I understand . . . you might want to look for a cosmetology school in the area . . . I was told they offer much more affordable services and may welcome kids too
Good luck! on number 3 also
M.,
There's a kid-salon in Oakbrook shopping mall on the second level near the Sears. I haven't been there, but I've passed it by. It looks pretty cool. My daughter is only 14 months & her bangs are too long. I may have to try it in the next few months. Let me know if you go & how it was.
