I want to throw a shower for one of my best friends at a great place. I could, but would prefer not to have it at my house. I want it to be special as she has waited a long time for this! I expect about 20-30 people. I'm thinking a private room at a nice restaurant in the South County area, a bright cheerful room, serving good food, preferably less than $20/person?!? Am I crazy? I also thought of having it at a church/meeting room or something. I'm not from here, so I'd love some ideas!

I am throwing a wedding shower next month at the Blue Owl in Kimswick. There food prices range from $7 to $11 dollars.
It is a historic little town just past Arnold. I love the place and it has been on Food Network twice. Food is terrific.

Think about trying the buffet places.i.e. Ponderosa, Hometown Buffet, etc. Some have a smaller room off the dining area that can be reserved and the food is fairly good and reasonably priced. Also, people can have different choices. Good luck and have fun.

How about the Sappington Barn Restaurant and Tea Room? It is located in Crestwood. My sister had her wedding shower there and it was very nice and not too expensive. The food is excellent. Check it out! http://www.sappingtonbarn.com
