highly, highly recommend A Child's Garden located near I-25 & Central. They are nationally accredited and have a really good reputation. My son has been there the last two years and is graduating out to kindergarten for next year.
I am looking for a preschool for my 3 year old daughter. I have done some interent searches, but with so many options, I'm not sure where to start! We live on the SW side, but I'm willing to do a little driving for the right place. I'm not looking for one particular type of school (church, montesorri, etc). I would like for her to go part-time at this point. Thanks for your help!

Do you want a full or part-time preschool?
My 4 year old daughter has been attending Albuquerque Preschool Cooperative since she was two. She loves it and we love it. As a coop, the school is less expensive then other private preschools, but parents are required to commit a portion of time to a committee (we do maintenance that requires two clean up projects a year and occassional laundry) and aiding in the classroom once a month (or twice a month if your child goes for a full week or full days). These requirements are not a burden, however, because they allow us to be directly involved with the school, the curriculum, the teachers, other parents, and the children. Classes are small. The 2-3 year old program has 10 children maximum with 2 teachers and 1 aide. The 3-PreK side has a maximum of 25 (I think) children with 2 teachers and 2 aides. Classes are 1/2 day in the morning for 2-3 year olds, and 1/2 day morning or afternoon for 3-preKs. They are located in the North Valley on Candelaria just west of 4th St. Oh, and they have been operating for about 30 years and they are fully accredited. I encourage you to check it out. You can stop by with your children and observe the classrooms and meet the teachers. Their phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck!
My son is currently attending 8th grade at Immanuel Lutheran School located on Edith and Gold (right behind the Artichoke Cafe on Central). He attend all of middle school there and I will be sending my toddler daughter to their preschool program as well. You can call the school secretary at ###-###-#### and she can connect you with the preschool personnel. They just completed their new playground recently and I have been extremely happy with their teachings, academically and spiritually. My son is receiving a wonderful education in addition to being guided religiously without it being overbearing or too preachy.
Good luck!
