Private lessons are good but even before going that route I would suggest looking into a park district program.
I live in the herriman area, been looking and trying to find classes for my 2 girls. One is 9yr and one is 71/2 years old. They want to take singing and dance classes like jazz dance. Also cheerleading classes and was wondering if any one knows of any good and not to expensive classes. Maybe piano lessons to. I would appricate any info you could give me thanks>

I am not in your area, however, i have a cheerleader.
As for as cheer classes, I would recommend a gym specifically geared at cheer only. We have a personal cheer trainer once a week and I pay him $30 cash for 1/2 hour training. (1/2 hr does not sounds like much, but, it's non-stop and my daughter is exhausted when she is done)
Our school uses the same gym for competition training.
Sherry makes a good point.. A rec center might be a good start to see what interests they really have.
Vision dance and learning center on 12600 s. Is great and does lots of different stuff. Visiondanceandlearningcenter.com
My friend teaches at the Tiffany Dance Company. It is on 13400 S. and 6000 W. (Just East of the Jordan Credit Union) She said that it is pretty reasonably priced. Also, I teach piano lessons and charge $45 a month. Hope this helps!
