my friend bought hers and her bridesmaid's dresses from www.bridesave.com. They were beautiful and very affordable.
Can anyone recommend a good website (or a few) to browse wedding gowns? Thanks ladies!

I don't have any suggestions on sites, just a bit of a warning.
If and when this wedding actually happens, DO NOT order a dress online. It may look great, it may be inexpensive, but you will be happier and better off financially in the long run if you actually GO to the bridal store and buy something that looks fabulous on you.
I had a friend that was really being frugal with her wedding and ordered a cheap dress from China. The dress online looked gorgeous - the fabrics they actually used in the dress made it look like a completely different dress. In desperation she ordered another rather inexpensive dress. It was a bit better, but it was a rather unflattering cut on her and she ended up having a family friend buy a $400 dress for her that she tried on IN THE STORE and felt beautiful in. I think she ended up spending about $700 on dresses. If you cut corners everywhere else in your wedding, great, but do NOT cut corners on your dress. I'm not saying you have to spend thousands of dollars on a dress (mine was $350 and I love it to this day), I'm just saying that you may not remember or care whether or not you used fresh-cut flowers for everything, but you will forever remember if you felt ugly and unattractive on your wedding day.
david's bridal is always a good place to start. i see you are in henrico, i am originally from chesterfield :) there are 2 dress shops in farmville, don't remember their names, but you can google "farmville bridal gowns." you can try theknot.com, that's a good site to plan your entire wedding from. also, there's usually a bridal expo at the richmond raceway complex twice a year, so stay watchful for that.
good luck and congrats! :)

A lot of bridal gown sites are based in China. The dresses are typically knock off wedding gowns and sold from $100.00 to $300.00. So if that's not something you are comfortable with and you find a dress on some site, make sure you double check to see who is actually making the dress.
www.romanticgowns.com is definitely worth checking out! I bought my wedding dress, my bridesmaids dresses & my flower girls dress from this site when I was planning our wedding a few years ago. My dress was exactly like one I had tried on at a higher end dress shop in Columbus, except that it was approximately $700 cheaper on this site than in the store! After falling in love with my dress in the store I did some serious searching online and found this company that is located right outside Wright-Patt Airforce Base in Dayton, OH. They have great customer service if you feel you need to call them to ask questions and my dress was shipped to me within a week. I have two cousins who are currently planning their weddings and I know that atleast one of them will definitely be purchasing her dress from this site. :) I can also tell you from doing a quick search that they still carry my dress as well as my flowergirls dress and the prices have not went up on their site unlike in many bridal stores. Good luck and congratulations!!!
I've seen some nice ones on craigslist too!
I liked the Knot's wedding dress website: http://wedding.theknot.com/wedding-dresses.aspx
how about JCrew?? they have a decent bridal selection and most of the gowns are made in Italy (NOT China :) and fairly inexpensive.. just a thought
Congratulations to you and your fiance on your upcoming marriage!!
http://www.morilee.com/ My dress was actually out of the quinceanera/vizcaya section and I got it at an outlet store, so it was super cheap - only $300! I was so impressed because that was the dress I chose without even looking at the price tag, so when I saw it, I was shocked - I thought it was the tax value...but no, it's just that good! You can check out the 'retailers near you' area on the website and find the closest location to where you are - I think there are ones in Alexandria and Springfield...
