H.W.
I don't think this was in the poll, but if someone called me a bad mom, I'd be far more upset than the other words.
I'm watching the news and apparently there was a poll asking both men and women this. So, what is the worst thing someone of the OPPOSITE sex could call you?
Mine is the B*** word, my ex did once and he KNEW not to ever do it again, and he didn't!
I will tell you the #1 answers for both men and women in the SWH later....
According to the poll, the #1 answer that men said they didn't want to be called was "creepy" and the #1 for women was "crazy". Interesting. Thanks for your responses!
I don't think this was in the poll, but if someone called me a bad mom, I'd be far more upset than the other words.
Nothing that just the opposite sex would use.
I don't really care if I get called a B**** or a C***. I can be a B and the C word, I am used to that after living in England and hearing it all the time, guys called each other that, not (only) women.
I think I would be far more offended by something completely untrue.
I am not a racist, I am not a conservative, I am not a bigot, I am not narrow minded, I am not a fascist.
I have (thankfully) never had anyone have the nerve to say any of that to me.
I DO hate it when people throw around Liberal or Socialist and try and use them as insults...
as they clearly have NO idea what they really mean, and are NOT insulting to me, as I DO know what they mean.
ETA: I agree, bad mom would be quite insulting, that is something everyone fears, I think.
I think the previous 2 questions are spot on: C word or worthless.
For ME personally though, I'd have to go with worthless or fake.
Drunk
And I hope I never give anyone the opportunity to call me that again.
Definitely the "C" word--"Conservative," that is!
I hate the word c*nt. Whether it's said by a man or woman.
"Stupid" or any variation.
I never went to college and have a learning disability. I was lucky and loved through high school and managed to just graduate. I may not be able to read out loud or do math with out counting on my fingers, but I am NOT STUPID!
Normal. :p
Sugar britches is a close second.
Well, does words in the plural count? One woman on here called me a loser for procreating and demanding money from everyone else because a LV bag, rims, and a cell phone is more important than savings. That and using my EBT card at a Taco Bell.
It was so "out there" that I giggled and my husband laughed, especially when I asked him what an LV bag was. (I've never heard Louis Vuitton called LV before.) The only way I knew what an EBT card was is from reading it on this site.
Yeah, what a lovely lady she is - I wonder how many children she thinks I should have to NOT be a loser!
I know this doesn't really answer your question for the poll's sake, but I started laughing, remembering this!
Bahaha!
I think pretty much any bad word forsure. But what would hurt the most is if someone called me a bad mom.
A liar. I couldn't care less what most people think of me, but those close to me know that would hurt the most.
Well, when my guy (a beautiful giving loving tender man) calls me MAMA I could just SPIT.
Bleck, gag.
Obviously I don't SAY so because it's a term of sincere affection.
Tehehehe, otherwise, to me the C word is vile. So I'll go with that.
;)
I would have to go with the "c" word.
Worthless or stupid.
If my husband EVER called me those (he is wonderful, and would never do that...or think that) it might just be the last thing he ever did.
Curious to see the answer!! I know many people who would say being called "ugly" is the worst.
The "C" word for sure. I wil let an F-bomb fly from time to time when the kids aren't around but I cannot bring myself to even say the c word under any circumstances.
none of the words below would really just upset me, becaus eI know I am none of them, but If My husband were to call me my mothers name, I get heated. But other then that, Ive been called everythign under the sun, not by my hisband of course but just through out life. When I was working in tech support when I was 18, and I had to work on Christmas day, adn Missed my daughters first Christmas, this customer called me the C-word,, It kind of stung because of how rude he was and I already didnt want to be there, and It was christmas, but its not the worst.. I dont think..
Interesting question and answers. None of the crude names would bother me unless my husband called me one of them. If someone called me one of those names on the street, it would just make me disgusted but I wouldn't think twice. I would just "consider the source" and move on. To me, if you call people those names, you are pretty trashy.
I won't get my panties in a knot over name calling, UNLESS it is my husband calling me names. One time he called me "a witch with a b,"... ONE time. ;)
none of those words really bother me.. im curious to see what the answers from this poll were .. call us crazy but my fiance and i not to long ago were actually creating our own horrible names .. the things we say jokingly would make some of u cringe.. my word was ball-cheese his was vagina-scum hahaha i cant even type it without laughing
-dad on purpose i hear u.. for me its junkie..its been years since anyones called me that and i will NEVER be called that again =)
Stupid
Lazy
bad mom
c*nt
I'm with you, the "B" word makes me see red!
If you tell me that I look or am just like my mother that is like calling me a B****. LOL!
I dated a guy long ago that called me another girls name. Other then that I don't really care what people call me.
"A bad mother" or "selfish"
Sometimes my friends and I or husband and I will tease and call each other bad stuff (not in front of kids) such as "you have a fat @**" or even horrid words that I won't type out, but it is all kidding and nobody is bothered. But if someone seriously called me the B word or C word, I would have fire coming out of my ears! I would get really angry if someone called me crazy, and I get irritated when my husband calls me by my mom's name (even though I love my mom...I just know that my hubby thinks she is weird and crazy so in essence that is what he is calling me).
I agree with SFromTX
But I would never want to be called "stupid."
Bad mom. Uncaring ( I get that from those who can't handle my bluntness...if you ask me for the truth I will give it).
But most of all the "C" word! Just ask the marine who called me that once...he left the bar with a broken nose! (I will add that he left a bruise on my arm the size of his hand)
Lazy.
Liberal.
The C_nt word.
I cringe if those ones are uttered in my direction.
Liberal being the most inflaming. I pull out my hair and become a crazy person no matter what sex calls me this....Because it is the rudest way to describe someones point of view.
