What does the words HONOR(able) and INTEGRITY mean to you?? Do you know people who are honorable and/or have integrity and what makes them so???
Being above reproach in how they live their lives. They stand out as far as how they deal in their business, their work ethics and how they treat their family.
To me: honorable is many different things, there is the serving this country honorable, there is serving your family/friends and work place honorable. To gain a certain respect for the many things a person says and does to others, themselves and society.
Intergrity: to me is being the person you are in public, alone, and with family and friends and most importantly being that same person in front of strangers. To be honest, forthright, caring and understanding. Say you're going to do something, do it, if you cannot having the respect to tell the truth and not just "fade out".
To me these two things have nothing to do with being religious. I am not a religious person and I live my life full of integrity and honor. I am the same person on here that I am in real life. I don't write things on here I would not say to you. Actually in person I say more.
Do I know people who have both or just one. Yes, my husband for one is the most honorable man I know, he respects our family, extended family, he respects his country, he repsects far more than most people.
As for someone with integrity? Well, I know far more people that don't show/have integrity. But I do know one person and former boss. She taught me the meaning of integrity, I have always had this characteristic, I just didn't know what it was called. She and I are still very good friends and we are VERY different in our views, matter of fact polar opposite. She's religious and I'm Agnostic. Now that is true honorablity and integrity, to care about someone who does not 100% agree with religous, or any other type beliefs....thats the type of person that is successful in life.

I think that honor and integrity means being honest and forthright, regardless of religion. There are plenty of people who don't call themselves Christians, or consider themselves religious, and are honest and have integrity. I can't tell you how many Christians I know who will lie to people, misrepresent themselves, and treat others with disdain and unkindness.
I say that to make a point that anyone who is honest with themselves first, without doing it for a higher power, and wants to "do the right thing", has integrity.

To me it means having the courage to do what is right. What makes them like that varies, sometimes upbringing, sometimes an internal code of ethics and sometimes an attempt to be more Christlike.

Honor and integrity go hand in hand - someone who is truthful, honest, someone with moral values and a code of ethics.
I know several people with honor and integrity. They are well-rounded humans, with an undeniable faith in God (ETA or some higher being) - who when they say they will do something - they do. When you are looking for the truth (not just do these pants make my butt look big?) you can go to them and know that while it may hurt - they will give you the truth.
It means you can run for President and they won't find anything bad in your history.
I agree with Jaime and Cheryl O. But I would add they can be trusted in the small as well as the large things. And they are not judgmental of others.
My husband personifies all those things.
Character is doing the right thing even when no O. is looking--same could be said for honor and integrity!
