My son is 4 and super skinny. If we buy the jeans to fit his waist they are too short. 4T is what he needs for length but the waist is too big. We've tried the adjustable waists but even they don't fit right. What jeans fit your skinny kids. I really wish I had his problem. All my jeans are too small :(
We buy Childrens Place jeans and JC Penny slim jeans. My little girls drawers were drooping the other day and another mom told me to go online and buy a "Dapper Snapper". It's a little elastic band that goes around the back of their pants (on the outside) to make them fit better.

I feel you! My son is the same way! We began buying Crazy 8 jeans that are 4 slim. We still need to use the inner belt (about 7 in on each side), but they at least stay on his rear end! Watch for them to go on sale...we bought ours for $6 a pair!
Gap online has a great jean for our skinny kids. They are elastic waist in slim sizes. The smallest size is a 4.

I have found Sears has some that fit wonderful for my son!!!
My boys are super narrow in the waist and the adjustable hurts them because they have to cinch it up sooo much(I wish I had that problem)
Levi's makes a 7xs for my oldest. I am not sure about the other sizes.
I have had a few altered - it is a good investment for a couple pairs of couple jeans.
My two have worn a lot of sweats - I get the garanamals (walmart) as they don't have elastic around the bottom and don't noticable look like sweats.
Pair it with a fun flannel shirt over a colored tee and they look rather cool.

I have the same issue with 2 of my kids , Gymboree has just started selling a slim fit that also has adjustable waist band , they have been a life saver for me!
i always buy the jeans with the adjustable waistbands in them. and i was also told that a dart gun is helpful too. dart the waistline so that the pants fit, then as they grow take it out. good luck
You need to skip the 4T and just buy a regular 4 in a slim. I like children's place and I find the boot cut style to fit my slim 3.5 yr old. He needs a 4T for length but he can still fit in 18 months for a waist. I just by the 4s from there they are not much longer then a 4T and with the adjustable waist he gets an even better fit.
With my oldest I am able to get a regular size w/ adjustable waist but our 3 yr old is just to thin even when pulled as tight as they go a regular size just doesn't look right.
