If she is teething she might get diarrhea. And at her age that is a good possiblity. And maybe try just one formula, I would eliminate the enfamil first( I wish I had started my son organic in the beginning) see if that helps.
My 11 month old has had diarrhea for the past 3 days. She is not throwing up, nor does she have a fever. I can't think what it could be. I am taking her to her Pedi tomorrow but I just wanted to see what others experience was with this. My oldest had this issue when she was this age but it was an allergic reaction to her medication. This is out of no where. Unlike my other daughter, my 11 month old won't drink the pedialyte. I am worried about her being dehydrated. Also, do you think she is fighting off an illness? I'm just hoping this will go away soon. I'm a nervous wreck.
Oh one more thing. She weened herself from nursing about 3 weeks ago. I give her enfamil. My mom watches her during the day and she gives her organic formula. Maybe that's it. Any insight on your experiences would be helpful. Thank you.

I definatley think it could be the fact that you are using different formulas. Her stomach can't get used to digesting a certain formula when you are switching night and day. Anytime you switch from breast milk to formula or formula to formula it will take a few days for baby to get used to it....also, maybe baby's tummy doesn't agree with one formula, but you have to stop use of one to know which.
I don't think it is the formula......
Our son had diarrhea a week ago. (He is 2 1/2.) It lasted abou 4 or 5 days. NO other symptoms..... Ended up with a sore behind but that is better now too. We gave him lots of baths and lots of watered down juice. (Our kids don't normally get juice so he loved that part!)
We also had him drink (medicine syringe into his mouth) a mixture of organic lemon juice and organic apple cider venegar. This helps us when we have bathroom problems and its even known to cure food poisoning! Doesn't taste the greatest but when we got him to take some, it seemed to help.
We also brought him in to the chiopractor.
If she is drinking something (water, formula, juice, etc) and having wet diapers, I would hold off on the doctor for another day or two. They say that most kids come home sick from something they caught there. As long as she is wetting her diapers, she is not dehydrated. And doctors don't do anything for diarrhea anyways....... They will just tell you it's probably a virus. I just wouldn't take the chance of exposing her to more germs if diarrhea is her only problem and she is still drinking something.
I'd guess teething. Does she want to chew on everything too and do you feel any teeth comng in? (though you don't need to feel a tooth for her to be teething)
Could be teething. My son is 2 now and his teeth came in 2 at a time and everytime he was teething he would get bad diarrhea. We used the A+D butt cream because his butt would get so red from it. His teeth usually took about 2 weeks to come in and the diarrhea would last most of that time. He was still eating find and drinking fine and never got dehydrated. If she is not teething then mabye is just a stomach bug. Hope she feels better soon!
A stomach bug is going around. My middle one had it and my 9-month-old baby has been pooping like crazy. Both have fevers, but the baby also has an ear infection and 4 teeth coming in. I found out a friend's family has had a stomach bug going around her house for almost a week, and we were there 2 days before it started.
Just keep her hydrated as much as possible with whatever you can get her to drink (my kids hate Pedialyte). As long as she has wet diapers she should be OK. It will probably pass in a couple more days. I think if the formula was the problem it would have started right away and not almost 3 weeks later.
It sounds like she is reacting to the enfamil. My son is adopted, and we were lucky enough to bring him home when he was but a week old. We tried the regular enfamil, and the organic, and BOTH upset his tummy horribly (gas, diarrhea, spitting up, burping). The organic was worse. Some kids are just sensitive, and despite what companies will tell you, not all formula is made alike.
It is best if you and your mom use the SAME brand/kind of formula. Sensitive baby tummies do not like switching off all the time.
The kind we switched to and found worked the best is Nestlé's Good Start. The Good Start has a variety for you to choose from, including organic and soy, and it is sold in just about every grocery store. It is a little bit more expensive (Target has the BIG cans for $25-$28) but it is SO worth it. We didn't have any trouble after that.
I hope this helps!
God bless you and your little one! :-)

It is possible she could be teething. Each of my boys was so very different when they were teething, and I did have one that had diarrhea with it.
I agree that if she is having wet diapers she is doing okay. I didn't usually worry as much about diarrhea with dehydartion as vomitting. At least with diarrhea you know the food and liquid is going through their system so they are retaining some.
I hope you can get this figured out soon!
