I have noticed a ton of different names the last few weeks. Do we have new members that we need to welcome or have you all changed your names?

:)

So What Happened?

I was T., but changed it to show the love for all 4 of my children.

If you changed your name what was your previous name?

Hi mom-

I have been here a 'good' long while...and still the same nic...but finally felt 'comfy' adding my real first name! lol

Welcome to all who are 'new'...and to those that are 'changed' lol...

I appreciate those that have kept the same 'nics' in that it sometimes helps to look back at their previous questions/concerns to respond to a new one...

But, I can also understand why folks may sometimes want to change their name...

Funny thing is though...even in cyber...the manner that one 'types' can often be a BIG give away! lol IF that makes sense...

Any 'who'...welcome all!! NEW or 're nicked'!!

Best luck!

I'm still the same, but I've actually thought of changing my name recently because I recommend this site to so many people. I'm afraid my SIL or someone will recognize me!!

I agree and have noticed it too.
I think they are new members. For the record my name is still the same.
So welcome new members and it would be great if you introduced yourself here so we all could say hi.
Great post Mama !!

Welcome Jim!

I think we do have lots of new members. It's kind of like have new neighbors that don't have big dogs that poop on your lawn or blast music at 3am. Nice!

I have never, in the 5 years I've been on this site, changed my name, even though I'm technically R. J now, and not R. D ;)

Here's the thing... if someone wants to find you online, they can and they will, regardless of what alias you use.

LOL, I'm still me!

But welcome to any newcomers or new-namers! LOL

Thanks for updating... I wouldn't have known it was you!! If people change their names for reasons other than anonymity (like yourself), it would be great if you gave a quick heads up so we could recognize ya!

I think a little of both....

Haven't changed my name - might scare someone!! :)

I like my first name being here - I prefer that...so when I answer a question I'm not saying Mom~of~4.......I'm saying Kate, Jana, Rachel, etc...that's my preference...

I think it was Nikki G that several months ago had a problem with another mom stalking her. It kind of freaked me out since my ID name was my real first name and last name initial. I have an uncommon first and last name so I started thinking it would be pretty easy to track me down if someone wanted to. I also had listed my real city and state.

So I changed my name to a nickname and my city to Phoenix instead of the real suburb I live in. I also removed all my business info since I'm easy to track down and someone could literally walk right in my office!!!

So now no one knows the real me... =)

I always wonder when I haven't seen a 'regular' in a while. There are a few that I always look for because I just know or like what they will say, so when they change their names, I hate not knowing who they are! Just lately, I haven't seen Scarlett or Hazel....hmmmm....
