I have had irregullar periods for the past two months. Like in the month of August I had my periods on the 14th, then in October I had my periods on the 20th and in November I did not only to start today 5th December. What can I do. As I thought may be I could be pregnant. But to no avail. Can I surely be pregnant like this? I need your help.

Well....have you tried a home pregnancy test? They're pretty accurate. Also, how old are you? A woman's periods can change as she ages, and not just because of pregnancy or menopause. My period was irregular all my life and only got somewhat regular in my 40s, if you can believe it.

If you try a home pregnancy test and the results are inconclusive, then I'd suggest you call your doctor or gynecologist if you are still concerned.

Hi N.~
I want to start by saying I like your name. It's very unique and I think that's a good thing.
Okay, I looked back and notices you asked about fertility and irregular cycles, but the gap is only 3 months, so I feel pretty confident that you have no children. I strongly suggest you talk to your ob about the cycle thing. Several things could be wrong, they could be serious, or nothing at all, but I'm not a doctor or nurse, so I'll just say to get it checked out.
If I'm wrong and you do have children, then keep in mind that a women's body changes with each pregnancy in the most drastic or insignificant ways. I had virtually no cycle after the birth of my oldest (in 1995) until after the birth of my daughter in 2003. My cousin can only shower after the birth of her son in 1994. Now she suffers severe seasickness so the tub makes her sick. Talk to your doctor and find out if anything can be done to help you.
Good luck with everything...may all your dreams come true ~

I second what Susan suggested, and I would definitely see your gynecologist. Mine has always led me to believe that irregular periods can be serious, usually if they are too frequent, not like yours, but still it's better to rule out any trouble. And yes, age has a lot to do with it.
Don't worry; you'll be fine. But best to check.

You are probably not pregnant, this is very common in new mothers. I have this same problem and my doctor informed me it would take my body at least six months to get back to a normal cycle. If you are really concerned however I would definitly schedule a Dr. visit. Good Luck

I would contact your obgyn. I had irregular periods as a result of poly systic ovarian syndrome(PCOS). It was hindering me from getting pregnant. But I took medication to regulate me and now I have two wonderful boys.
Good luck!

I believe you should speak with your OB/GYN... they can do tests to see if you are indeed pregnant or if you have something such as PCOS (which I also have). I also took medication and now have two beautiful boys. Ironically, I was trying to lessen my meds the past few months and after having it in October around the 20th, skipped November and just got it today (12/5). Back to my regular 2 pills a day!

Good luck with everything. If you do have something such as PCOS though - make sure you also go to an endochronoligist as an ob only has so many answers. They can assist you a lot.
