I see Dr. Mario Yu in Oak Brook Terrace on Midwest Road.
I too am in perimenopause and I've been seeing him for a similar problem. I am really happy with him (my two younger cousins also go to him and he is highly recommended).

Have you ever been tested for your hormone levels? If our hormones are out of whack, then these type of things happen. I would recommend getting a saliva test done to determine the levels of progesterone and esstrogen. So many women are progesterone depleted and there is a natural cream that can help with this and balance you out - no synthetic drugs, surgery, etc. I would start there with this new doctor. Find out first before you jump into anything else. Also, there are books by Dr. John Lee that talk about the various stages of menopause and they all begin with "What Your Doctor Doesn't Tell You About..."

Definately Dr. Roger MacDuff at Elmhurst Clinic, aka Elm Care. If you can't get in to see him, and you may not be able to, I found the entire staff to be extremely capable. And, ugh, welcome to the club.

Dr. MacDuff out of Elmhust Hospital is WONDERFUL. I can't say enough good things about him. I can give you his # if you would like. All of the OB/gyn in his office are good, but he is the best. Sometimes hard to get into though. But worth the wait.
