Carrot cake jam is amazing, and a very fall-like thing. Pumpkin butter is good too and can even be made in the crockpot. You can google recipes for both.
What would be a good jam to make during the fall? An in season based fruit? I usually make jam when strawberries are in season or during the summer when at every turn I can find in season fruit. I have a good friend who wants to learn how to make jam and wants me to show her. I am definitely no pro. but I told her I'd help.
So, I am looking for some helpful hints. Thanks so much!
Thanks ladies. Your answers got my creative juices going and I am now headed in the right direction. Thanks again!!

Here grapes and apples are both in season, and my rose hips are nearly ready to harvest. And you may have more or different choices depending on your local growing seasons and climate. An excellent place to find in-season fruit is your local farmer's market.
Apple jelly and apple butter.
Pumpkin butter
Yellow tomato preserves
Pear honey.
Halopeno jellies various flavors
Blackberry or raspberry jams would be good. I believe peaches are in season, so maybe a peach jam, though I'm not sure I've actually ever had that - I just like peaches. :-)
