If You like James Patterson Books Please Read This...

steve berry has some excellent novels out there. the main character is a former US Agent, he now resides in europe and goes on these quests that typically involve some aspect of history...or historical myth. my favorite thus far has been "The Amber Room". the story is based on the amber room in russia and how the original was dismantled, hidden etc.
I think he has written 5 or 6 different books, each with a different theme, but the same character.

JA Konrath has a series of books that are a mix between Janet Evanovich and James Patterson. All the titles have Mixed drinks in their titles. They're thrillers with outloud chuckles thrown in. Very fun!

Jonathan Kellerman books are great!

Dean Koontz is great

I loooove James Siegel ~ he wrote "Derailed" (the book that was made into a movie w/Jennifer Aniston). I know your husband would like his books, too. Detour is one of my favorite books.

Harlan Coben books are great.
