Ideas on What to Put "Love" in from Santa

Stemming off of another question that I just answered, my 6 y.o. DS wants, among other things this year, extra love to love other people with. :-) Super sweet and I thought I would put some sort of container in his stocking that we could label with "extra love". But I can't think of what I would use. I thought maybe a crystal vile, but any time I google that type of thing I get a bunch of creepy type stuff.

Any ideas, creative mommies?

What can I do next?

I would buy a spice shaker jar, fill it with cinnamon sugar and call it love he can put on his toast.

That is adorable. In addition to what you are planning on doing with the vial or whatever, I think you should take your daughter to do some community service, as a way to use the "love" in her vial. I think a girl like your daughter would enjoy it. My daughter was always super sweet like your daughter is, and she really enjoyed helping others at that age.

Oh, how adorable! That really made me smile :)

Do you have a Hobby Lobby near you? They have the cutest little heart bottles I saw today. (They are in the jewelry section, where the findings like claps and earring hooks are.) They are small, about an inch tall. You could get several of them.

Ugh! I can't get it to make a link, but you can copy and paste!

If you go to help others.org you can print out smile cards and use them when you commit random acts of kindness. I've read my kids some of the stories on the website and they were excited to be kind.
They liked it because they can get creative with the ideas and when they leave a card it might get paid forward.

A small heart shaped ceramic or wooden box? You could probably find one at a craft store. Fill it with glitter and tell him to keep it mostly closed, but when he wants to open it, open it *very carefully*. Your son is very cute, BTW.

Look up vial instead of vile.
As others have mentioned, check craft stores for vials or other little containers.

IKEA has a great pillow for that. It's like a heart with arms.

Or http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80141398/

But you have to buy it in person.

Or simply make a heart shaped pocket for him.

I second the craft store. They have all kinds of little bottles with corks or screw tops, I too have seen a heart shape.

I also agree you should help him follow through his request with some tangible ways to show love. He's pretty young to volunteer at most non profits. But a cute (and loving) little guy would be great at visiting patients in a nursing home, baking cookies for a home bound person or making cards for soldiers overseas.

Keep nurturing his loving side, we need more men who aren't afraid to show their feelings and want to share their "extra love". So cute.

Some perfume bottles are really pretty and have either stoppers or screw on tops. Just empty it, wash it out, and remove the label. I've got some pretty antique perfume bottles that belonged to Grandma sitting on my curio cabinet just because they were pretty and belonged to her (she only kept them because they're nice looking).

We have a scrapbook store here and I'm thinking of the perfect little thing that would work that they sell. They look like little test tubes but have screw on lids. I guess people decorated them and use them as candy holders or things like that. Oh and they are plastic. :)

So my advice is to check out a local scrapbook store if you have one.

I like the vial idea....my first thought was a cute little mason jar w/lid that was simply decorated!

What a sweet kid you have there...you should be very proud of him!
