I want to upgrade my wedding set to 1 carat I have 1/4 now but how do I go about this?
What i am not sure about is I have yellow gold now but want white gold. My husband said he was going to surprise me one day and get me a whole new set. I have seen some rings that I like but I think they are engagement rings so would I have to get the band to go along with it or is this fine by itself? I really don't want him to buy me a whole new set, these that I looked at look fine by themselves in my opinion. What do you think?

Hi,

I like the rings you have picked out. I just thought i would mention to you, We were at the parks mall yesterday and we stopped at Helzberg diamons to get our rings cleaned-and they were having a huge clearance sale. There is a wonderful sales person there by name of Bebi that was very helpful. We bought our little girl a pair of earrings (great deal).

i just wanted to point out that white gold is merely a "dipped" yellow gold.... like into some mineral that makes an alloy... soooo, technically your current set should be eligible to turn into white gold from its current yellow color.
and i agree, you could wear those rings just fine... as long as you love the ring/set, that's all that matters

I think jewelry, especially rings, are a very personal choice. You can wear whatever you want!! The rings you linked to your post don't look much like engagement rings in my opinion. You could definitely wear any of them without a band. It's about what the ring symbolizes to you and your husband anyway!

I'm not sure where your hubby got your set or if he got any plan with it. But some places offer an actual upgrade option. You can trade in your current set and they put what it is appraised for toward a new one. I'm not sure on the specifics but you might look into that. Hope it helps!
