My youngest is having issues staying in his bed. My ped. recommended creating a "hero" to protect him all night. I know that you ladies are creative...has anyone used a "magic spell" or "magic spray" of any type. Any recomendations as to a cute chant to ward off the boogy man. Thanks for all of your help.

What can I do next?

We used a magic spray my husband concocted with his cologne, my perfume and water. We sprayed like a ritual every night and had the girls convinced it would keep them safe and keep away the boogey man. It worked, didn't take long and we no longer need to use the spray.

My son took all of his stuffed animals and put them around him on the bed. These were his guards for when he slept. It was his idea and it worked great.

OK, here is what we did because we had that problem with an imaginary dino under the bed. ANYWAY, we had one of the super soaker things with NO WATER in it. Before bed, we air sprayed the room and under the beds so that the dino would not appear at night at all. IT WORKED. But just as an added measure, we kept it close to the bed just in case a baby dino would come out without us knowing. lol We said our prayers then went to bed. Little by little the boys praying took place of the scarry dino.lol Good luck

Doesn't that break your heart! My daughter recently went through that and with all the ideas from this blog I created a special bottle called "Emma's magic room spray" in which it has kept all the SCARY things out of her room. Every night we said, "OK all you scary things, stay out of Emma's room, stay out of Emma's house, stay out of Lake Villa and GO AWAY!!! We then spritz a couple times and she bought into it. Good luck!

My five year old is scared of having bad dreams so during prayer time we pray God give him only good dreams and keep the bad ones away. It works for him.

We, too, used "magic spray"...but what we did was buy an inexpensive mister. I added a little water and a drop of vanilla extract, then let my son spray all around the room to make sure it was "safe". Once he was done spraying, he put the bottle on the dresser next to his bed, just in case he needed it during the night.

Because it only had a small amount of water, I didn't have to worry about anything getting too wet, and the vanilla smell let him know it was working.

This was YEARS ago, but my now nearly grown son STILL talks about his 'monster spray' and we both laugh!

A friend of mine put a sign "No monsters allowed!" on their inside garage door & that did the trick for them!

We used magic spray and would spray my daughter's room every night.

We would spray the closet and under the bed.

Good luck.
