Many of the moms seem to got mad about that they dont have to do anything , i'm talking about cooking and cleaning. I know that its hard work taking care of children . i have taking care of my nephews and nieces in the pass, and when they spend the night you cant sleep just listening if they cough or if you hear something .I just meant that i didnt need chores done here at that time.******Do any of you mom mind sharing their baby sitter for the night .Or do any you mom have a young teenager that is doing babysitting this summer. I have 3 kids. 10,8 year old boys and a little girl who turns 2 in June. with my husband work it wont be till the evening around 8-9 pm until 3-4 in the morning, i don't want to pay more for the babysitter then what it cost us to go out so 75.00 dollars is a lot yep that was one quote .i can pay 5-6 dollars the hr since you don't need to do anything , the baby will be asleep and my boy will watch TV till they crash on the couch. so if yal can help that will be great, I'm even to the point where maybe we can take turn with each other kids if any you moms are in the same boat that money is tight , maybe we can get together and work a plan out.
I found a nice lady who charges me a fair price. My kids seem to like her so thats the important part. i hope to use her again.thanks mom on your advice. I guess i was used to the price when i would babysit.
Yep, don't get your hopes up that someone will take the $5/6 an hour. You will probably be better off taking turns babysitting with another family that also has 3 children...that would only be fair. Good luck on your search for co-op babysitting though!
Would $45 a night be ok?
$5/$6 is not alot for someone babysitting 3 kids pretty much overnight. We have 4 kids and rarely get a babysitter b/c it's extremely expensive. We used to swap nights out with other friends that had 4 kids. It works out well. Getting a certified babysitter or even a teen will be closer to $8/hr for 3 kids, even if they are asleep. You'd be surprised at how kids who would "normally" be asleep when their parents are home can wake up and not go back to sleep when the babysitter is there.

As the last lady stated, you are doing something when you are babysitting if even they are sleeping. The babysitter is there for reassurance that everything will be ok and if anything does happen they will be able to address and fix the situation. You might have to raise your rate because the average rate for 3 children is 15 dollars.
Just my opinion (I have been babysitting for 14 years, was an assistant director in childcare and have met all the certificates and qualifications for babysitting.)
