I Need a GOOD Camera!

I like the Sony Cybershot. I started out with one that was about 5 megapixils and now have upgraded to the 8+. My mom has also has one and we both really like them. If you are looking for something that is quick to start up (this is really important with kids) and takes clear enlargable pics and fits easily in a purse or pocket, IMO, this is it. I bought mine a few months ago at Circuit City for about $300.

It also takes reasonable videos, just make sure you get an upgraded memory card. I have a 2 gig and I've only run out of room over a long vacation. We just did Seaworld last month and the pics I have of Shamu are FABULOUS! It also has a great feature that helps capture kids (and other things) in action, you hold down the shutter button and it takes continuous photos, so you get a stream of photos, like a flip book, it's really cool and adds a lot of fun to a scrapbook page!

I dont have advice of what camera to buy, but I can tell you what NOT to buy. We have a Kodak EasyShare. It is perfect around the house. Its horrible for outside "action" shots (such as seaworld).
I would think that the "experts" at a Wolf Camera or store similar could be able to give you exactly what you need.

I have a Nikon DSLR that is wonderful, but hard to take on trips like that. I have a Sony Cybershot that is great and portable. My sister and brother each have one too. It's awesome, easy to use and has had no problems. It's only a 6 megapixel, but takes really good pics. Have fun.

I'm very happy with my camera. It just came out this year, and it's by Canon - model SD1100-IS. It's got 7 or 8 megapixels (not necessarily the highest, but still great). The camera comes in several colors...pink, blue, brown, silver, etc. I have brown, which looks more like burgundy. Check it out on amazon.com or something and see what others say about it.
