I saw a truck drive by the other day that delivers organic foods from a farm including milk and eggs. But I wanted to look it up and forgot the name on the truck! It was some sort of abreviation like TCS or something liker that. Anyone know who I am talking about?
I don't know the name, but here is a website of local CSA's...maybe one of the names will trigger something!
There's a company in Yorkville that does that but I can't remember the name, sorry. At least I know the town where it's located! They have a huge variety of organic veggies and fruits that they deliver to your house weekly. I have met a few people who do it and it's actually very affordable.
Here's a website for an organic farmer who delivers locally. http://www.farmertomscsa.com/
I used them for a couple of years and was happy with them. It was reasonably priced and good quality. The timing of the delivery became a problem for us. It ended up being in the middle of rush hour on a Friday night which was not the most convenient time for us. It took us about an hour in travel time. If the site was closer, I would do it again. You can check locations on the website.
http://www.tcforganics.com/tcfhome.htm, It's Timber Creek Farms. I used to use them. I found them through a home party with a friend. We were ordering their seasonal fruit and veggie box. It ended up that time and time again we were getting things that were on their way to going bad and they wouldn't credit only take complaints and then they delivered when we canceled for vacation. So my husband said that was enough and we canceled al together. We pretty much stick with whole foods, fruitful yeild and what ever the local markets sell as for organics and we order our meat, eggs through an omish farmer www.beadedheart.com/ffc.htm. But you could check them out and see if they have improved.
I would guess it's Timber Creek Farms (TCF) in Yorkville. Website: tcforganics.net and phone ###-###-####.
