I Don't Have a Clue!!!

For an infant under 12 months, $200 sounds about right for a Day Care center (2.5 years ago I called around to different centers in the New Tampa area, and $185/week was the cheapest – and my daughter was 5 months at the time. I've called around again now for my son, and the cheapest is $205!). The cheapest bet would be to find an in-home daycare, but usually they are not licensed and you have to work around their schedule (eg. their vacation time, if they are sick etc). So you’ll have to stay home or find alternate child care for those days. It’s almost not worth it to work with the cost of child care!!

My daughter goes to Kiddie Campus University on 41 in Lutz. She never went there as an infant, but I am very pleased with the school. My son goes to a home daycare (8 mos old), but she is full. I will ask her if she knows of anyone else. She is licensed and we pay $165/wk.

My son also goes to Kiddie Campus & its a great daycare! In Land O Lakes theres a church (near Royal Lanes) that has a daycare, not sure about infants, but my son went when he was really young & i liked it a lot. Its called Little Lambs. DO NOT take her to Sugar & Spice though, its horrible! Kids Stuff in Land O Lakes is also a good daycare. Good Luck!

Girls are so much fun :) I don't live in Land O Lakes, so I don't know any thing over there, but I found some great in home daycares (for when I went to work part-time for a couple months) on Craig's List. You can post an ad for free or just search through them. I have seen that in-home daycares are usually a little bit cheaper, and for me, that was the best option because I wanted her in a "home like" environment. Just make sure that because you have a newborn, that there are not too many other kids/babies in the home. Because newborns need so much love and attention, you want to make sure that your little girl is getting that. Good luck and congratulations!

the daycare I use for my two girls is Primary Training on SR54 (behind the jewler and car dealership) they truly care for each child as if they are their own. They are a VPK accredited school also. I call them a Montessori school w/o the Montessori price. Love them Love them Love them!!! Call ###-###-#### and ask for a tour.
