J. - welcome to mamapedia.

You really need to discuss your fears with your doctor. You need to talk to a pharmacist as well.

I get you want other women's experiences however - not every women experiences the same.

Do you NEED this?
WHY do you NEED this?
Once you have those answers, deal with the facts - what happens IF you have side affects? Can they be treated?

I can't help you as I've never had the shot

You need to talk with your doctor and pharmacist.
They are experts who know your health history and can explain what effects can happen and what you should do if they happen.
With any drug - some side effects are harmless and trivial - and these are easy to live with.
Others might be quite a bit more serious - which is why you need to work with experts who know you.
Anyone on the internet is not someone who can give you any meaningful medical advice.

Everyone is different, and we are not pharmacologists anyway. Some people can get side effects from any medication, but most do not. We also know nothing about your condition, you, your medical history or anything else. So anything we would write would be just useless to you. If you don't trust your doctor, get a second opinion. That an be very valuable in any medical situation where you aren't sure.

I looked up this medication. It treats more than one condition. The two that I remember are prostrate cancer and endometriosis.
