Hubby Wants Me to Go to Philippians with Him

Hey Mama's I need some perspective,
My hubby travels to Manila often and I haven't gone. He really wants me to go with him in July, but I would leave the girls here with family. It takes 24 hours basically to just get there in a plane, he would be there about 10 days. My girls are 3 & 4 and I just CAN NOT wrap my head around leaving them.....the most I have left them is two nights, not even two full days....here are my concerns:
*both parents in a plane together going very far away
*10 days is SOOOOO long
*finding family to keep them that long....

Am I being unreasonable and will I regret one day not going? I mentioned maybe taking girls with us, but not sure that is a good idea......any advice or suggestions/ experience in this area?

What can I do next?

I think this is a great opportunity, but understand you not wanting to be away from the girls for that long. Is there a special reason he wants you to join him in July? Will the opportunity not be available another month? Is he always gone 10 days at a time? Maybe there will be another chance for you to join him on a shorter trip.

My kids would welcome the break from us for 10 days, but they're not 3 and 4 anymore. :) Would *you* be able to relax and enjoy the vacation if you were to go? If you don't think so, then I would say it isn't worth it.

Would you need to keep the girls at one place for the entire 10 days? Could you break it up between friends and family? Maybe the change of scenery would have them focused on enjoying the differences as opposed to missing Mommy and Daddy.

Good luck with your decision. Can't wait to hear what you decide!

go go go! it's a trip of a lifetime! jump at it! yes you will miss your girls and may have to find more than one family member to watch them. but at the end of it, you will have great memories, as will they of time with grandma/auntie/uncle. tip: once there, don't call more than once a day or so. if you do, you will get sucked into the home zone of it and not be able to get into vacation mode. call once, check on them, then go have fun with hubby!
