We sold our Subaru on Cars.com, at the time we were living in Arizona and someone flew all the way from Kansas City to buy it and drive it back home. It was a quick and easy sale.
Hope this helps!
We are trying to sell our minivan on our own. We've never done this before and I would love to have some advice on where to post it, how to handle people wanting to test drive the van, and how to actually sign over the paperwork on the van. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

We just bought a van from a person. We found it on Craigslist. That's a great place to list it, and free.
For test drives, we just went to his house and he rode with us while we drove the van around.
The Missouri Department of Revenue's web site has information on paperwork. Beware though: it is not completely up-to-date. The best idea is to ask someone at the DMV exactly what you need to do.
Mainly you need the title, and you can get a Bill of Sale form from the web site but that isn't completely required. Web site says you're supposed to provide an emissions & safety inspection on the vehicle. Our seller didn't do that. It would have been convenient if he had, since a safety inspection is reqd for temporary tags, and emissions inspection for vehicle registration.
