My dd had put a sticker on her Gymboree shirt that had a string design on the shirt. The shirt was washed but NOT DRYED. The paper part of the sticker came off but the sticky stuff is stuck on the string design on the shirt.
Any ideas of how to remove the sticky stuff? It is a Gymboree shirt so I cant just trash it if you buy Gymboree you know a cost of their clothing!
Right now I have it soaking in water.
Have you found something that works? I tried peanut butter, tape and ice and none of these worked for me. I am having the same problem.
Any hlep would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I have had this happen several times, but mine ended up in the dryer... I have tried 2 techniques.. Lots of research suggested to use Goo-Gone and it did get the sticker paper off, but it left a greasy spot I couldn't get out and the smell stuck around too. The other technique was to rub peanut butter on the paper. This worked really well. Just rub the peanut butter into the paper and then scrape it off, I have used my fingernail and a plastic knife to scrape both work.. Most of the things I was cleaning were fleece, but I did thermal pajamas too. Then just spray it with a stain remover and launder as normal, just check it when it comes out of the washer to be sure there are no spots. Hope this helps.
There is an organic biodegradable cleaner called Basic H2. It is diluted for different uses. You can use it full-strength as a degreaser. It won't harm your clothes or leave smells or residues.

I am not sure how this will work on fabric, but rubbing alcohol works wonders in removing adhesive from skin and other surfaces. I don't believe it will harm the fabric either, but I would test it first.

I've had this problem before but dryed them also. I have used a really strong tape (like duct tape) and it works really well. I just push the tape on the spot and pull it off. I found this by accident :)
