Need Laundry Help!

GooGone works wonders for that kind of thing. I can't tell you how many of my older boys shirts I tossed out until I found the stuff. Just put a little on the spot and let it soak in. After a little bit you can just scratch the remnants off. Then just rewash the shirt. BTW it works great for getting those price tags off of things without having to scratch away at them forever. There is a great product called Opps! that takes anything off cloth with out harming the fabric, even paint. It is sold at hardware stores.

The best stuff I have found for sticker removal - even if its gone throught the wash is a product called "Goo Gone." It is just great, amazing stuff. You can find it at a hardware store or even at Walgreens.

Try rubbing ice on it. It will harden the sticker glue and you may be able to pull some of it off with your fingertips. Then try some Dawn liquid dish soap.

Try Goo Gone. You can find it in most stores like Target and Wal-Mart.

I used to work in retail. Try using packing tape. Place a strip over the sticker and run your fingernail over the top. Peel the tape up slowly and repeat as neccessary. You can try ice as it will freeze the sticker and glue so you can pick it off. I found tape works best. You can also use the same principle on a gift that you need to remove the price but you would like to leave the UPC incase of return. Just regular scotch tape will work for this. Good luck :)

Goo Gone works really, really well on stickers on laundry as well as hard surfaces. It can be purchased at any fabric store as well as drug stores like longs, rite aid etc.

My husband gets this stuff at work - Orange Sol Heavy Duty 24. My 5 year old rolled in a sticky mouse trap. I sprayed this stuff on his jeans and washed them, it all came out and left no mark. I would air dry the shirt until you are sure that it is all out. This stuff is great - it gets gum out too!

C., I looked in my Queen of Clean laundry book and it says to remove stickers (I think this should remove the residue as well) heat white vinegar and apply it, undiluted, directly to the fabric. Allow the vinegar to soak until the sticker can be peeled back with ease. I am not sure if this would work after the shirt has been laundered but I figure it is worth a try. Hope it helps

Goo B' Gone, I think that's the name of it. Anyway, you can get it at Wal-Mart and it's an oil based cleaner. Spray it on, rub it into the sticker and then wash it immediately. It is oil based so if you don't wash it immediately it will stain. I've had to get stickers out a few times and it's worked every time.

Same thing happened to me but it was duct tape! It was just recommended to me to use "goo be gone." I guess you can find it in the household cleaner/items section at the store - or at Home Depot for sure. It's usually used for removing sticker glue off of mirrors or windows, etc. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to. I tried the infamous Oxy Clean but didn't work.

Dissolve it works wonders on all kinds of hard to get off things. It is an orange liquid feels kind of oily but works wonders and is water soluable and all natural. You can get it at the market or Target or Wal mart

You could try a little Zout - it's a great stain remover. If that doesn't work, I'd say maybe rub a little olive oil into it to loosen the adhesive.

Just a little warning about Goo-Gone also: It's highly toxic, so be sure to use it in a well-ventilated area, and don't let your children anywhere near it.

Goof off, which is like Goo B Gone, works great, but you will probably want to wash the shirt twice, because of the smell. It also works great on clothes that have been dried with a color crayon! FOr that I used the Goof off, followed by scrubbing with hot water and Dawn! Works wonders!

try scrubbing a little WD-40 on the sticky spots then rewashing. It may take two or three washes. It worked on duct tape stickies that were on my table cloth after a craft fair.

Goo Gone?? Not sure if it is ok on clothes, tho...

Try using Un-do. This is an adhesive remover you can buy at Office supply store. I have used my small bottle on many, many, items and it does wonders! Any adhesive remover will work Im sure. I have removed gum from couches, tennis shoes and it has even removed gum from clothing without harming the garment. Good luck. Silvia

If the sticker left ink marks, try alcohol on the stain and knock it with a brush or something the like to loosen it. I grew up in a laundry business and that's what my dad used to remove stains. Of course follow with washing as to not leave any ring or stain.

The only thing I can thing is try one of the spot removers. If it is a white shirt soak it in some bleach. I hope this helps, I cant think of anything else.

There's a product on the market called "Goo Gone." It is a citrus-based product that you can purchase in the cleaning aisle of most stores. It works tremendously well for this kind of thing (and many other sticky situations). You definitely need to test a hidden spot for color-fastness, though. An alternative would be peanut butter. The oils in peanut butter get out most sticky things. Then you just need to clean off the peanut butter spot!

dabs of GOO GONE??? All though I'm not sure if it would stain either...but I would try that!

C. you might try spraying some hairspray on the spot where the sticker was or try using something something oily to dissolve the adhesive and then re-wash.
