How Should I Thank My Friend?

I'm starting class next week and my friend offered to watch my son one evening a week, from about 3:30-5:30. She has a son the same age and it will be great for them to get a chance to play together, plus then it will save me money on daycare costs. I feel guilty having her watch him and not pay her and since the point is to save money, I was wondering if any one had ideas on how to say thank you to her. I just want to do something or at least offer to do something for her and her family to show her I really do appreciate her time and efforts. Any Ideas?

What can I do next?

Offer to watch her boy one night a week so her and her husband can spend some alone time together. Or ivite them over and cook dinner for them every now and again. Think thoughtful. If you see something while you are out, buy it for her. Like, if she's into scrapbooking and you see some cute stickers, grab them. Or bring her a cup of coffee from Tim Horton's when you pick up your son. Or maybe on a night she doesnt have plans, bring over a movie and some Ben and Jerry's for the two of you to have a mini girl's night. Hope I inspired some good ideas for you!

I would say offer her to watch her child for free once a week, too.

Maybe you could make dinner for her and her husband and wrap it up for them on the night you have your class. Then when you pick-up your son all she has to do is re-heat the dinner you brought her for her family. She probably won't have time to make a nice dinner for her family the night she is watching your child so it would just make things easier for her.
