How Often Do You Go down "Memory Lane"?

Last night I found some old photos of my babies when they were infants. They are 3 and 4 years old now, but wow... crazy how time flies and how much they change. I have always been a sentimental person but last night I was just in total awe of looking at them when she was 9 months and he was almost 2 yrs old. I sent the picture to my husband (he works out of town thru the weekdays) and it touched him alot (said it almost brought him to tears.. which of course almost brought me to tears, haha). It was just such a sweet night that we shared though hundreds of miles away from eachother.

So, how often do you go down Memory Lane? I usually put the pics in a photo album and they end up pushed to the back of the closet and sometimes forgotten. Now, I wonder if I should bring them out more often?

What can I do next?

I have been on a trip down Memory Lane quite often these days because I am trying to catch up on scrapbooking family photos for the last 30 years! (it's a lot easier now with digital prints that can be downloaded and saved). So I have lots of albums- I will usually bring down one album every few weeks (they are by date) and leave it on the coffee table. It is fun for me to look at and my husband enjoys looking at the pictures of old family vacations and the kids while they were growing up. We also will pull out albums when we have family or old friends visiting just to look at photos of a prior time when we were together.

I find myself doing it every few weeks. I just pull up some random folder of digital pics from long ago. My kids are 4 and 7. My 7 year old has grown up so fast. The time when they were toddlers was so absolutely precious that it breaks my heart that it is over. I'm quite sure that is why lots of moms just keep having more babies:)

That's so sweet! It's a good thing to put pictures in an album and keep the book handy!

I think we're all so wrapped up (necessarily) in the present time that any albums don't get pulled out very often. But it can be so great to go back in time once in a while. When your children are a little older, they're going to enjoy seeing themselves - and seeing you, too.

My kids are now grown and 2 have kids of their own. What I'm working on is some picture frames with several cut out slots that I can use for my walls. I also have a nice electronic photo frame that I've scanned pics onto a flash drive that I can see pics of my kids/grandkids all the time. Also perhaps using a memory book for each child full of special photos of them that they can take with them Once they leave home.
As to how often I go down memory lane? Not as much as I like sometimes. But I also have many old pics posted on facebook, myspace..etc and they are always there to look at.

We have pics of my son at diff ages all over the house. So I always get a glimpse of the past. Just yesterday I took out his baby box, it has his first size diaper, footies etc. I held the diaper up to my now 7 year old's hand and his hand was bigger, my hubs started to tear up, seriously. I miss those days and then he does something so funny or smart now and I am brought back to the present. Thank God for photos!

I have all my son's pictures on my computer at work and at home. So I have the luxury to look at them when I want. But I probably look at them about every other month... reminds me of where we were and where we are now and how far he and I have come (single mom who left an emotionally & verbally abusive marriage). To see how he's grown, and see his personality to come life on film right before my eyes brings me to tears every time... like you I'm a sentimental person. As long as you don't wish the time away by saying "I can't wait till you.... " and treasure the time you have with them you can visit those pictures as often as you want or need.

I do it almost every day. I don't always MEAN to, it's not like I plan it out every day. But I have over 2,000 pictures of my son *not exagerating* He's only two haha
I take soo many pictures because my family is so far away and don't get to see my son. So I'm always taking more, sending them etc.

I also tend to do the same with pictures of me and my hubby from BEFORE we were dating haha
