Ok girls, I am getting a facial in a few days(so excited) I was wondering how much do you tip them. I have no clue how this works.
Thanks

I think it depends on the cost. Say, for my $20 pedicure, I gave $3 tip to my foot scrubber and leg massager/toenail painter. The 2 ladies I went with gave nothing. It felt awkward, but my husband having worked in the restaurant and retail worlds, insists we tip due to personal experience.
If your facial is $40, tip $6-$10. I average on an 18% scale, but 15-20% is perfectly acceptable and very generous.
For mother's day, we give my mom a hot stone massage and a pedicure. We always send her with $25-$30 extra for tips. The total cost is around $100, and I feel that the lady who just spent an hour getting out all those kinks and the lady who rubbed her feet should be well kept so that our mother is well kept. =)
For those of you who willingly and generously tip 20, THANK YOU!

I typically give 3-5 per salon service depending on how good/bad it was. Normally it's 5 but this weekend I had a new gal at my nail salon do my mani pedi and she was rough with my cuticles even made me bleed so she got 4 for each, I have never tipped less than 10 for anyone there (always get mani/pedi when I go) ... My eyebrow gal same rule -- so I think that is pretty standard. If you are getting something that is over 50 I would start thinking about it in % ... starting at 10-15% depending on the place/prices. Hope this helps.
