Good morning. I have a microfiber couch and a small amount of soap I use hand saop and water will get it out.
Well I accidently left an open bottle of sunblock on a towel on our couch after lathering up the baby, went to change her and came back and my 3 1/2 year old had squeezed the tube ALL over the couch cushion! We immediately took a damp wash cloth and dabbed and wiped it all up, but it has left the streaks where he squirted it. Does anyone have any idea how to go about getting this out without damaging the cushion! To make matters worse you cannot just flip the cushion! That is one thing I did not look at when we bought this whole living room set 5 months ago, the ability to flip them, just assumed so. Thanks is advice for an help you can send my way! God Bless!

When we bought our microfiber couch we were told to use a solution of 1/2 water and 1/2 Neutrogena liquid soap (ph neutral) to clean our couch. Just work in a circular motion, let dry, and repeat as needed. It's gotten all sorts of things out of our couch without damage. Here's a link to the soap I'm talking about, but we were able to find it at Target, K-Mart, etc: http://www.drugstore.com/qxp17003_333181_sespider/neutrog...
I have curtains made from microfiber.
Our cat had an "accident" and the bottom of the curtains soaked up the urine. I dipped the bottom of the curtains in a mixture of oxi-clean and rinsed really well .They look brand new no mark or anything !I have also read that D. dish soap mixed with water might work. This gets out almost any greasy stain. Just rinse until no residue is left.
Good Luck !

I have one better - try diaper rash cream!! A nightmare and I spent two hours trying to fix it. I found that hot water and soap didn't change the color/texture - just don't scrub too deep - light washing in cycles will help bring it up. I so feel your pain.
Try baby wipes. I have found that those work miracles of getting anything out of microfiber couches.
Kirkland brand baby wipes took dry erase marker out of ours so I would try them on the sunblock!!
If you can't get the cover off, try using a Bissell Little Green Machine (or some similar wet-vac machine) that cleans by spreading/working in a cleaning solution and sucking up the resulting mess. Otherwise the oils/chemicals in the sunblock will just be pushed further into the cushions and can transfer to anyone who sits there in the future. If the fabric is still stained later, maybe it's time to buy a washable couch cover.
I've successfully gotten root beer, formula, and melted and dried creamsicle remains out of car seats and couches.
There's also stuff called "Spot Shot" you can buy that gets strongly colored stains out (carrot puree, red wine, cola, chocolate syrup) - which only works completely if you get the stain when it is fresh. You just scrape up excess stain, spray it on, and "blot" it up with a paper or cloth dishtowel. Though it leaves some residue behind, I then use the Little Green Machine to suck out.
If you can take the cushion cover off then do that and wash it in the washer. You can dry them as long as it is on a cool setting or hang it outside to air dry, that way it won't shrink. I you can't do that did you buy the stain warranty when you bought the furniture? Or ge it scotchguarded when buying and got the warranty with that?
Try baby wipes (they seem to get out most things), or BioKleen products. I get them in the natural foods section at Fred Meyer. They are much safer around kids than 409 and the like and smell really good. We've used a steam cleaner on carpet to get out cat pee multiple times (didn't work), so we tried the BioKleen Bac-Out and voila! No problems since!
