my hub has pretty high triglycerides.. 323..
we have seen different ideas on how to lower them.. what did you do to lower your triglycerides.. and how did it work for you.

Losing weight alone won't lower them. You need to exercise. Ugh... sorry!! :)
I take 1000mg of Fish Oil (Omega 3) four times a day and CoQ 10 with Ubiquinol once a day. And of course, I eat a healthy diet, avoiding fast food & foods high in bad cholesterol and I excersice. It has reduced my cholesterol enoght to avoid medication.
My husband with takes the CoQ 10 with ubiquinol and Lovaza (prescription Omega 3), he did need to go on cholesterol medication to get his numbers down below 200.

Have you been following this? It's been on Dr. Oz, in Time magazine and all over the TV and printed news. I just went to a seminar on this - heard great stories and research about triglycerides and all of that. There are a few ways to do it without medication, which eliminates the issue of side effects. Your body can actually regulate itself and heal itself if you give it the right tools. No radical dietary reductions either. My husband and I have done this and have seen phenomenal results - his numbers were already pretty good and the doctor can't believe the difference. My doctor is thrilled with me as well.
I am assuming that since he knows what his numbers are, a doctor had him get his levels tested. What did the doctor suggest? My BIL had high triglyceride #s and my husband prescribed him Lovaza, which is a prescription fish oil. My husband also takes it daily.
I read somewhere that Kiwi can help. Not sure how much/how often needed though. but something to look into!
mine are through the roof. even higher than your husband's. and i don't want to take statins.
so i exercise. a lot. i drink a ton of water. i take beetroot powder, and niacin, and flaxseed oil, and fish oil. i eat a more plant-based diet, although i'm not (yet) vegan by any means.
because my cholesterol issues are hereditary, 'natural' control methods have very little effect. my only choices are to medicate, which i have decided against due to too many side effects and not enough research history, or risk it. either option scares me, but the drugs scare me worse.
i'm in the minority, i know.

my husband's number was around 700. He had to take medication to lower them. He also lost a lot weight by working out and eating better. His dad died when my husband was only 8 years old because of this. For my husband, it runs in his family.
