what the PP said - if they're honeybees, your local beekeepers would be happy to relocate those bees off of your property :-)
We need some ideas on how to get honeybees out of our tree. They have gone into a knot on the side of our tree in the front yard. We have already tried calling several beekeepers and they cannot remove them because they are inside the tree. How can we get them to leave without killing them? Any ideas would be great!
Thanks!

Call a local apiary and ask them to come re-locate the bees. They can do it for you and would be glad of a new hive. Here's your local apiary's website. They offer removal http://olathevalleyapiaries.com/

I have had a beehive for 5 years now and have to say we don’t even notice they are there. Bees are fascinating creatures and they don’t want anything from you. They rise at sun up and head out to forage for pollen. They return to the hive near dusk. They sting when they feel threatened and I know everyone has heard before to just stand still if a bee is near you. It’s true! You might smell good to her but once she realizes you don’t have nectar or pollen she'll buzz off. In five years no one has ever been stung in my yard and everyone is curious so we go to the hive all the time.
You might consider leaving them this season - your flowers will thank you for it! There is a good chance they might outgrow the space in the tree and swarm to find a new home.
Hi...if you Google "beekeeper Kansas" you'll find a number of links to companies and organizations that can assist in removing swarms.
Why do you want them to leave? I'd love some bees!
I wish we had them. We are losing bees at an alarming rate in this country and you would be surprised if you knew how close we are to losing some of our favorite produce because of it.
I haven't researched how to set up a beehive. If I knew how I'd come and try and get them to move into something I could then move to my yard!
