I would think it is just a bad coincidence but I am not a doctor.
I weened my daughter's at 2 1/2 and 3yo. It was completely uneventful.
I have very very bad leg cramps . Did someone go through something similar ? Plus my whole body is more achy .

Why not just call your doctor/nurse line and ask?
you may want to add details to your post. i never had leg cramps or got achy after weaning.. and the first time i was pregnant when i did it.
you might want to call your dr to find out if there is something bigger going on here.
Welcome to mamampedia.
You have leg cramps after weaning? Not sure how that is related. However, you need to see your doctor.
Leg cramps can mean many things - decreased levels of essential minerals your body needs. Go to the doctor and get a blood test done to find out if you are lacking vitamins and minerals.
Good luck.

I'd go in like Doris suggests - you may need blood work done. I know even being anemic, you can have legs that cramp and be achy.
I never went through that when I weaned mine so can't comment on that.
Thank you ladies for all the responses . I did go see my doctor and he says its to do with hormonal changes because i weaned my LO cold turkey . They are exactly the same symptoms I had in my first trimester . Plus i came across a couple of articles which mentioned how your body might go through same changes when you get preggo. But I would still like to get a blood work done and see if any levels are low .
I'm not sure abut the leg cramps but Have you considered mastitis? I felt like I had the flu when I had that.
You may need potassium. Go to the doctor and get some blood work done.
