Take her to a doctor that has a laser. When they are removed by laser they do not come back. I went through this and mine kept coming back until I had them removed by the laser and they have not come back and it has been 15 years.
My 7-year-old daughter has a couple of plantar warts on her feet. We used Compound-W and the at-home freeze stuff for a while. We have even been to the doctor to have them freeze them off. We have been using Compound-W between appointments and nothing seems to work. I think our next step is going to the podiatrist to have them surgically removed. I really don't want her to go through that painful procedure. I have bleached all of her sandals and croc shoes. I make sure she always wears socks with her tennis shoes. Does anyone have any ideas that might work? Thanks!

Warts are a virus. Does she tend to get sick more often than you'd like? What I would suggest is building her immune system, monitor her sugar intake (sugar depletes the immune system), get good fresh fruits and vegetables in her diet, and high end supplements.
I provide Personal Nutrition Consultations. Many busy people like to do this over the telephone. If this is something you are interested in email me and we can set up a time to talk.

C.,
When I was a kid I had planters warts all over my hands. I had them burned off, frozen off and everthing the doctors could think of it was very painful and didn't work they always came back. My grandmother told use to put iodine on them and cover them with a band aid. reapply and change every day. It took a week or two but they all turned black and fell off. To this day they have not been back. My nephew had a couple my sister tried everything and finally went back to this treatment and it worked. If I remember right it was many years ago the iodine stung a little when it was put on but not much.
Try castor oil mixed with baking soda. Apply the "paste" 2-3 times/day for at least a week and it should take care of your problem!
Hi C.! We've have had the same situation over here! Even the dermatologists treatments didn't work for us. Then a friend told me about Mediplast. You can get this at Meijers at the presciption counter. It comes in a single packet that looks like a large bandaid. You just cut off a piece the size of the wart and stick it on the wart. You can put a bandaid over it to make sure it stays on if you want. After each bath or shower, put a new one on. This works!! and its only $1.53. I wish I had known about it before we spent all the that money on treatments that didnt work!! You do not need a prescription for it, just ask for it! Also duct tape works too, but may take a little longer than the Mediplast. Hope this helps!!

C.,
My son only had one wart, but we did the compound W with the duct tape also. It did take a couple of weeks though and a lot of patience!!! Also part of the wart came off one day when my husband took the duct tape off too fast, ouch!!! We thought it was all gone, but there was enough of the root in there that it came back. Luckily we kept our eye on it and realized what was going on and after two more days of the compound W and duct tape it was gone.
Also the duct tape never stayed on my son's foot well, so we always put bandaids, the flexible kind, over the duct tape.

Castor Oil dabbed onto the wart 2-3 times per day. it worked for me 40 years ago, when I was young.
Hi C.,
My son also has a planter wart. We tried the duct tape which his doctor recommended. I couldn't get it to stay on for any length of time since his wart is on the curve of his heel. I looked online and found several recommendations to use banana peel. For the last couple of weeks, I've been cutting a small square of the peel and using a secure bandage to hold it (inside part against the wart) on his foot at bedtime. In the morning, I take it off and wash the area. It is actually working! The wart is definately smaller. It's supposed to take a month to six weeks. It also says to finish it off with Compound W. Good Luck!
My daughter had a couple that took two years to get rid of. The Podiatrist treated them with the acid to remove them a few weeks in a row, we went back and out they came. Six to eight months later they were back. Went to the doctor again, they were gone, then another few months they were back.
I treated her again with Compound W a few times and then proceeded to keep duck tape on her foot. Vasaline and Duck Tape, they get smothered and pulled out.
At least that was what I was told, and it did eventually work. Her foot is finally healing and the holes are going away.
They are horrible, especially this time of year.
Good Luck

My daughter had a plantar wart removed at the doctor, and I think that was the only way we could get rid of it without fear of it returning. It is not THAT painful. They numb the area. It is better than dealing with a wart.
were you using the compound that is made specifically for plantars? my daughter got one a few years back, we used the dr. scholls version...and it worked...took a little longer than i thought it would, but it definitely worked.
Have you tried putting a piece of duct tape over the wart once you've put on the Compound W? That will help pull off the layers of the wart instead of having them just fall off. My son had one on his elbow we had burned off at the doctor's office. He had a local anestetic so he couldn't feel it and was totally fine afterwards.
Hope this helps - S.
This method worked for my son, but we didn't shave it down.
Good luck.
#1
Wash and dry your feet thoroughly.
#Step 2
Carefully shave the wart down flat, avoiding non-infected tissue. This step should not hurt or draw blood.
#Step 3
Cut a small piece of duct tape to the size of the wart. Apply it directly to the wart. Avoid covering a large amount of uninfected tissue. An 1/8th inch past the wart should suffice.
#Step 4
Leave the duct tape on for ten days. If the tape comes off within the 10 day period, replace it.
#Step 5
On day 10, remove the tape. Wart will appear whitish. Soak your foot in warm water while scrubbing the wart with a small piece pumice rock or old toothbrush to remove the dead skin.
#Step 6
If the wart is not completely gone at this juncture, repeat steps 1-5 again until wart has been removed.
I know this will sound a little crazy...but I was watching a program that was highlighting "home remedies". One of them was for a plantar wart-clear nail polish!! They said to cover the entire wart with a clear coat of polish and leave it on for a few days-when you are ready to remove it, just peel it off and it should remove the wart. Good luck! You may be able to lookit up in their archives as well-"The Dr's."
You might do some reading on what warts really are. From what I have read, warts are caused by a virus. Unless you can get rid of the virus, she will continue to have the warts. You can burn them and cut them all you want, but the reason they are there is still in her body. It's a tough thing to identify and get rid of. I wish you luck!
A couple. You go online to Homecure.com and look for SilvaSolutions for the salve. Colloidal silver salve worked on my son's plantars wart when freezing didn't.
You could also try garlic and onion on it (use a band-aid of course) every other day. Onion, Garlic, onion, garlic, until it disappears. Good for regular warts. But I think my other son used it on foot warts with good results. Lots cheaper too.
First they are highly contagious! And if anyone in the family has open pieces of skin on their feet they can get the plantar warts in the shower or even walking around the house. Likely they are picked up from a public pool or a public shower area where your daughter was barefoot and had a scrap on her foot. I have two kids and one daughter gets them all the time. My son came back from camp last summer and had 6 on one foot! From the showers at camp. The problem is they hurt after walking on them. We use the Meijer brand of Compound W which is acid. Then I use a pumus stone to scrub at the infected area we have one just for warts (we get them that often) each night I would scrub and put the acid on the warts and put socks on the children. The smaller ones do go away pretty easily the bigger ones take more time. I did go to the doc for my son when we had so many she froze off two and then said we were doing fine with the acid and scrub method. I now have a flip flop rule because I just can't keep dealing with them. Scrubbing with the pummus stone seems to rub and wear down the skin so the acid can get in there. I have good luck getting them healed in a couple weeks if I am diligent. Good luck!!!
Hi C., try putting duct tape on them. And tell her not to go bare foot any more. I had them for years. This was the advice from my Doc. It worked. I too had them burnt out. Very painful! They came back and this is what I did to get rid of them. The duct tape will pull them out.
I am going throught the same thing with my 4 uear old. We see a dermatologist and use compound w between vist too. I thought it wasn't working but yesterday it fell off and we have been doing this for about a month in half and I have been trying to get rid of it for 6 months. One thing I noticed when you wrote you wasn't doing that I am is wrapping her foot. I am not littereally wrapping her foot but where her wort is I am putting duct tape on it. Big enough for the the whole wort to be covered so it get sufficated. There hard to get rid of and people think your nuts but I have had to do this three times once with me once with my son and now my daughter compound w and a duct tape and don't change the tape unless it falls off or they bath. Good luck! I am actually going to day to have the dermatologist look at it since it fell off yeaterday
All three of my children around 5 years old each time got a bunch of warts too, hands and feet. My doctor precribed a medicine that they took for 3 three months everyday and they all went away. I never thought it would work and I actually had my girlfriends husband a doctor tell me he had never prescribed it but it would work but sounded crazy. When I inquired more abuot the medicine I found out that all it was is a high dose of zantac. It worked every time, but my third kid had to take them for 3 months he had a lot more than the other two and they weren't completely gone when he was done with the medicine but they still went away with time. Must be some chemical reaction in the body. Ask your doctor about it, he may be hesitate but it wont hurt them. Haven't got any snice either they are now 14, 11 & 8.
Like you, I tried all the remedies you mentioned. Then I heard about duct tape from several friends. You heard me, duct tape, the thick, strong, silvery tape. I know it sounds like voo-doo, but it worked perfectly and cost almost nothing! AND, you have nothing to lose. Everyday I put a small piece of duct tape over the offending area. That's it. Just duct tape. Use enough to make sure it sticks. After a couple weeks, when you pull off the tape [it doesn't hurt], you'll find some of the wart comes off, too. Pretty soon the whole wart is soft and you can scrape and dig it loose. Within a month or so it had disappeared. My foot is smooth and free of this nasty growth. I have been free of it for almost 6 months.
Good luck!
