I couldn't possibly repeat here what I usually call mine :P
If it's a Garmin, what about 'Minnie'?
She Who Must Be Obeyed? SWaMBO?
*ETA: It's a TomTom? Tomasina!
Do you name stuff? What do you call your GPS?
My car is silver bullet - it' looks like a silver can and I really Ilike Coors light. My daughter calls her GPS CIndy. She said it's such a know-it-all and Cindy sounds like a know-it-all name. I just call mine B!____@____.com's bossy, insistant, and wont admit when she's wrong. I tried calling her jefe = bossy. But that didn't fit. and B!____@____.com isn't kid frienly. I tried to download the Snoop Dogg voice skin, but I couldn't figure it out. So, I'm stuck wih this chiks voice. Any good ideas? What do you call yours?
Soooo Karen it is! My kids would think that's hilarious.
NBiN that is the exact conversation I have. I guess mine is Oracle/Bitch She doesn't know all the construction and traffic around here. She says "exit right, exit right, EXIT RIGHT AHEAD and I say - look u bossy beatch, I would if I could, now shut the hell up and recalculate already! But when My husband is driving and ignores her, I get offended - "hey buddy, don't disrepect the Oracle"

Love it!
I don't get into naming objects but think its cute you do!
Hmmm...how about Veruca. :)
We call ours Karen after Plankton's computer wife on Spongebob. We did get a good laugh when we saw a news story on a lady who did all of the talking for a GPS system and found our that her name is.......Karen.
OUrs is names "Honey-B!tch"
Cuz when she gets me where I want to sooo easily, I call her honey "Aww, thanks Honey, that was so easy!" "Hang on Honey, I am switching lanes or making that turn"
But when she gets me messed up or tells me too late to switch lanes or whatever (shut up...it IS her fault!), I say "Listen B!tch, I tried switching lanes blah blah blah"
You get the idea.....
We call ours Sydney because it is set to speak Australian English. Nice to know I'm not the only one who named her GPS. My six yr old asks slightly confused and very seriously "Can it hear you?" which is a really good question since I ALWAYS talk to it!
Maggie ... but it's a Magellan GPS, so not really original ....
I call ours "Karen" for the voice we use most often.
I know someone who calls his "Shutupshutup" because it's a TomTom and he always makes it recalculate.
We use the British guy on Garmin...Daniel, I believe, is his name.
My car's name is Clyde.
Hmmm.....bitchy people I know....Anna, Kelly, Katie, Gary
Our van is named Sampson. The car is Black beauty.
Name your GPS Queen because she knows the way and can get your there like we Queens do for our families!
Just call it B in front of kiddos... Bi+@# is a perfect name! LOL ;)
My husband's is Shelia and mine is Becky, lol.
call it GiPSy (see why?)
The one in my car is Martha and my husband's is Edith. : )
Haven't read your answers yet but I LOVE this question. I generally don't name cars or other things. I did, however, name my GPS Tim because that's the voice I pick when I'm using it. Tim is a very confident Brittish voice (complete with accent) that I love (think - "merge onto the motorway"). My daughter and husband think I'm crazy and don't like that I have a distinguished significant other that comes along for the ride.
My husband prefers "Mandy" as his pseudo girlfriend in the car. Mandy and Tim don't like each other. Tim thinks Mandy is wishy-washy and Mandy thinks Tim is a bore. I'll sometimes ask Tim if he wants anything when we go through the drive-through.
Early on in our relationship, Tim took me through some bad neighborhoods when there were clearly other options. My husband said - see, Tim doesn't know everything and he doesn't even feel he needs to protect you. I told hubby that Tim just wanted to get "lost" with me and he wanted to keep me from having to go home to my quiet life in suburbia.
Whenever Tim has to recalculate, my husband is quick to say - see, Tim doesn't know where we are either. I could go on.
Ours is Nancy, for Fancy Nancy. A friends uses Lola (LOngitude. LAtitude. GPS), which I thought was very clever. Wish I could steal it, but we travel too much together.
I LOOOOOOOVE the Mayhem commercials.
If I had a gps, I'd name mine Wing It or Recalculating.
Added - I was thinking of Fiona from Shrek!!
Name it Fiona. (Apologies to any Fiona's out there.)
LOL!
