Help in a Bad Economy

I am sure there are so many people out there experiencing money issues but I desperately need to know how to make a little extra money from home. I am a stay at home mom of 3 boys under the age of 4. My husband just graduated college two weeks ago and has had no luck finding work, in this economy, to support our little family. We are desperate and I would love to hear any ideas on what we can do to make extra income to care for our children. I can't go to work because it would cost more to pay for the daycare for our 3 kids than I would even make! I would appreciate any tips or ideas. Thanks.

What can I do next?

There is a legitimate work from home company called Transcription Express. I tried them out however I found it wasn't for me so I did not continue. I have a hard time listening on the headphones and trying to type everything they say including "hum" and "ah" so it just wasn't for me. I really wish I enjoyed it because it was a great company and great people to work for.

You have to go in and take a test which is just a basic vocabulary test and a typing test (you have to type 35wpm). If you pass that then you have a two week training period (free). After that you start your assignments. The only cost is that you have to buy a dictaphone machine with a foot pedal ($100+ if found on Craigslist). They were going to start a program which allowed you to rent one but I don't know if that went through or not. They are located in Gilbert. You pick up your assignments and then you have a few days to finish it and then you take it back. They have drop off locations if you are not near Gilbert. I know they have a location at Ellsworth and Baseline at the Postnet store.

Here is their website. www.transcriptionexpress.com

Good luck!

Have you thought of Avon or a Mary Kay type businesses? There is jewelry like Premier Designs where you schedule your own hours. Good luck!

I agree with the other two posts. Get any type of income, even if its not what he wants to do. Child care for a stay at home mom is perfect too. Even if you only had one extra child that would help. As for your spending... I would say try hip2save.com. Get into coupons. There are hundreds of products that you will be able to get for free. Toothpaste, cleaning supplies, soap, almost anything. Its worth looking into. Good Luck!!

You could do childcare from your home to make extra money. An easy way to find clients is to post an ad on Craig's List or ask around. If your hubby is looking for work, he can try University of Phoenix. They seem to always be hiring, and although it may not be exactly what he wants to do, they pay decently, have good benefits, and have a lot of opportunities to move up in the company. Good luck!
