I agree...you need a good dehumidifier, running nonstop for awhile, and a good cleaning. I personally used Mr. Clean with Febreze after my basement flooded and it worked nicely.
our subpump failed after a huge rainstorm. Our nice clean fresh basement had 2 or so inches of water throughout. WE are throwing out the carpet and other things that got wet.. but the basement still stinks.. how do I get rid of the musty stench?? It was clean rainwater taht was in our basement.

We had that happened and we called a Water Mitigation company and they took care of everything. There was so much we would have never thought of and we could have never done it correctly ourselves. They did all the removal of damaged things and the inspections for mold and checking the walls. They also brought in industrial dehumidifiers that ran for about a week to dry everything correctly. They were able to bill out homeowners insurance and it made a horrible event so much easier to deal with. They even handled the repairs for us (SoClean did)
It has happened to use twice and we use Moderistic and SoClean (socleaninc.com) and both were amazing!
Maybe you can call whoever built your baement and ask them for a referral to someone who cleans a basement after flooding.
