I guess this is one of those postings that us mom's just can't help being interested in. I, too, have thought about having this done. Does anyone have any idea of what it costs? I would really like to plan to do this.
Am a new mom who is thinking of having a breast lift done (actually wanted one done before I got pregnant). Am a 34 DD so am not interested in implants just need to get the babies off the ground so to speak. Has anyone gotten this done and if so are you happy with the results?
Thanks everyone who responded to my email. Nice to know that I'm not the only one with this problem and insecurity (my husband thinks I look great anyway- droopy boobs and all but I would be getting this done for me not anyone else). Just wanted to throw out a name for anyone also interested in getting this done since I did actually 7 years ago interview several doctors. The one that I like the best and would go to if I do decide to actually go thru with this is Diane Gerber, MD, FACS. She is located in Chicago. I really got a good vibe from her and she is the only doctor who I saw who showed my a photo book of her "before's and afters" without me having to ask her. She is very well known and has even written a book about whether to have plastic surgery done or not.
Good luck to all and I'll keep you posted on whether I have one done or not and the results.

I have in fact. Shortly before I got pregnant, and now, well, I want one again... It was funny, one of the first things I said when I found out I was pregnant was "But my boobs are brand new!!!" We all have our quirks, right?
Anyway, I had a gastric bypass a while back and was pretty saggy, so I had them lifted, not reduced, just lifted. Even now, they are pretty good. I remember being able to play softball in a tank top with no bra! I loved my doctor he was amazing, scaring isn't so bad, an I am still perky even after 17 months of nursing!
His name is Dr. Geoffry Fenner and works out of Evanston Hospital. He is very good. Tell them J. Hardie sent you!
Good luck!

I havne't gotten this done but just wanted to remind you of the obvious - don't do it until after you're done having babies and breastfeeding! Ok now that I've said that, go for it - I imagine you'll be thrilled with the results. Just make sure the surgeon who does it does LOTS of them - like over 100 per year. Practice makes perfect with these things.
i would like to know this. I am a 30 with 3 kids (so i am done having kids) i wanted to do this since kid 1, but know i can.
My sister had one. Keep in mind, as soon as you have one, then get preggers, your skin will stretch. Wait, the results will last longer.
A neighbor of mine had it done. She used to describe her breasts at 34 longs LOL. I can completely understand since the word perky can no longer be used to describe my own breast. She is very happy with the results. I would love to do it myself.

Please ladies post to this!! I too would like to do this.. I am all done with babies... (I think!) So I would love to hear the recommendations!!!
I an in the same boat, 34DD, 2 kids and need something done! I am also going to get a tummy tuck, I have that nice c-section hang going...anyway I will let you know what I find. I have picked 3 names and I will be visiting them for initial consults later this year. (Thanks for the mom's suggestion of Geoffry Fenner, I'll research him too!) Hopefully will have the procedure done late this year. One thing you need to be sure about is that they are board certified by the ASPS. A very helpful link for you to locate surgeons:

I just have to say that your note really made me laugh, only because I'm in the same boat as you. So I'd be interested in what anyone else has to say too. It's nice to know that we're not alone in this world.
I have not had it done but my sister in law is a nurse and has worked for a plastic surgeon and stated that from her experience it is a great thing to improve your appearance and your self esteem. She also advised that 90% of the time they do recommend an implant to keep them looking their best for the longest amount of time. Ultimately that would be your decision. She also says that you should always get two opinions. I can get the names of doctors she has worked with and recommends if you are interested. I say go for it. If I had the nerve and the money I would! I was surprised that nobody else responded. Good luck.
Thanks Jennifer, for some actual advice and a recommendation, but I have nursed six kids and am turning forty four this year!! It is definitely crisis time for me, but I am on disabilty, do you think there is a way to get the state to pay??? LOL

Count me in as well. I actually first want to get rid of some of the brown spots on my face and do a little non-invasive procedures, then maybe I will move to the breasts. Right now I think they look ok and I can deal with them for a little longer. I would be more apt to do the breast lift if I did not have to be put out.
