Johanna! Necrotic tissue on your vagina/vulva is not OK. Please call them right now to tell them you are coming in this morning.
3 years ago I gave birth vaginally to my son and had 2cd degree lacerations. I was stitched up and healed, however, once healed, I did have one piece of hanging skin from my vagina as a result from the stitching. It never bothered me. However, I woke up this morning and the skin went from always being pink and looking like the rest of the pinkish parts of my vagina to black. it is black and it is sensitive. I do have an appt to see the doctor on Monday but was wondering if any of you ladies have had any experience in this or had advice for me in mean time. Thanks

Gangerine or worse (cancer) might be setting in. Don't wait to see the doc go to the ER now!
Johanna:
If something on your body is black that is not supposed to be black? It's not getting blood nor is it getting oxygen. Something like this does not usually happen over night.
I would call my OB/GYN and get an appointment for today. Tell them just what you told us...if you are going on Monday - you might be able to wait it out - however - personally - I wouldn't. Dead or decaying things on your body are NOT a good thing!!
If it were me, I would be in the Dr. office STAT and not wait until Monday. If your Dr. can't see you, find one who will or go to an urgent care facility.
doesn't sound right, hon. call them today.

Go to the doctor now! or a hospital. Dead skin is nothing to mess with!
Sounds like necrosis to me. This can happen at surgical sites, although it's weird that it's happening 3 yrs old.
I'm guessing they'll culture it to look for bacteria (Staph is a common one that can cause necrosis).
They will likely cut it off, and keep you on a course of antibiotics to ensure that it doesn't get worse around the incision.
I agree that you should call your doctor today!
Doctor now. Don't take chances. Black tissue is WAY not normal!
It sounds like that skin is dying. If it were me, I'd call the doctor's nurse and explain the situation. They may want to get you in sooner or they can let you know not to worry.
Do not wait to go to the docotor, get an appointment today or go to the emergency room. If you do not get this treated ASAP it can actually effect the surrounding tissue. Black could mean that you are not getting enoungh blood flow in the are=a hugh problem, especially if it effects your entire vaginal region.
Sounds like either dye transfer, bruising, or necrosis.
Call the 24/7 nurse line, or ask to speak with a nurse in your doctors office. They'll tell you whether to go to the ER, come on now, or wait for your appt.
Call doc asap....skin turning black of any kind is not a good thing ever...unless it's just a confirmed hemtoma/bruise.
