B..
After. Why would I want food stuck on my teeth all day, until I brush them again? Isn't that how plaque builds up? Dunno, doesn't make any sense to not brush them after...to me.
Just curious here, the spouse and I have had this debate for awhile. When do you brush your teeth in the morning: Before breakfast or after? I can't eat or drink unless my teeth have been brushed, I do it first thing. Hubby is the opposite, he's of the mindset "why brush my teeth and then immediately eat?" I noticed that I made the conscious decision to brush our toddlers teeth after breakfast, using his logic (of course I didn't tell him that though). So what do you and your kids do, before breakfast or after?
It seems most of you agree with my DH's perspective, good to know I'm on the weird side of it! Eh, we all have our things that make us a weirdo, I'm ok with this one...

I brush immediately after I wake up (ok, after I wash my face). My son brushes his teeth after breakfast. If he decides his mouth feels gross when he wakes up, we will change to brushing upon waking.
I do it after. I hate the way toothpaste makes my food taste and I would rather brush off the food.
After breakfast, otherwise your breakfast is sitting on your teeth all day! I brush my teeth after every meal I eat at home.
I do it before -with the intention of doing it again after but .... sometimes it doesn't happen, i try to carry a toothbrush in my purse just for those times.
After breakfast. You are supposed to brush after every meal....
After I eat, or before I leave the house, whichever happens first. Sometimes breakfast gets eaten in the car.
I have to brush my teeth first thing in the morning, but I do not eat breakfast for about an hour after I get up.
After. I agree with your DHs logic. Plus-I don't want the mint to taint the breakfast food taste.
omg!!!
so many weirdos!!!!
it's just NUTS to brush your teeth then drink coffee and/or eat breakfast! i never kiss anyone in the morning anyway.
ALWAYS after breakfast!

Before!!!
Dear god... The dragon breath!!! 7-12 hours of not brushing NEEDS immediate help.
Also after (just quick and light)... And then mouthwash.
Also a couple times s day and before bed. I CANNOT stand 'fuzzy' teeth. Ick.
Haha, I've been tempted to ask this question several times myself. I do it before and so do my kids. I get why people do it after, but I can't stand the idea of eating after the germs have had a full night of going crazy in my mouth. I feel like it's not as bad to go without brushing during waking hours, because eating, drinking, and salivating naturally clean your mouth throughout the day. That's why your breath is always at its worst first thing in the morning.
After... cleans the breakfast bits out of my teeth and I have nice cinnamon breath for the morning!
Depends on how bad the am breath is... typically after I eat! Sometimes I will do a quicky with mouthwash if it is bad enough I will not be able to taste my food. My mouth tends to dry out and I am a mouth breather so more room for build up.
I brush my teeth and my kids after breakfast. But I remember in high school I was like you. I had to brush first thing in the morning but then I would brush again after eating!
I brush my own teeth before and after breakfast and at various times through the day (I'm a bit obsessed about my teeth). I consider myself lucky to get my daughter's teeth brushed after breakfast and end of day.
Brush first--can't stand the taste/feel of morning mouth! Yuk! Also, dd and I usually eat breakfast in the car, so we wouldn't have the opportunity to brush after eating. When I was younger, I was a nut about brushing, probably 4-8 times each day! Here I am, in my 30s and I have receeding gums and very sensitive teeth... dentist says it's due to exceesive (and aggressive) tooth brushing! Now, I only brush 2x each day (the more important one for me is at night, before bed--don't eat or drink anything but water afterwards). I follow the same rules for dd who is 3.5.
I don't eat breakfast until 10. I brush when I get up at 5.
Depends. I brush my teeth in the shower, so if it's a work day than I get up and into the shower and get ready for work, then I cook breakfast while my daughter is getting ready for school. If it's not a work day I get up and eat breakfast and have coffee and enjoy the quiet before my daughter gets up, so the teeth don't get brushed until I get around to showering.
Well, I let my kids brush AFTER breakfast. But if they wanted, they could do it first, and then again after breakfast.
For me personally, I have to brush first. I don't leave my bedroom without brushing my teeth. It's just gross not to, to me. Yucky.
I also potty and run a hairbrush through my hair before emerging from the bedroom. (It's all localized right there in the bathroom, so I get up and go into the bathroom, do those 3 things and come out into the kitchen or whatever).
ETA: Oh, but I also brush after. Usually shortly after eating, I go and get dressed and brush my teeth again.... I go right past the sink on the way into the closet. :)
No real schedule with toddler yet, but I do like your husband, and my husband does like you. He hardly walks out of the bedroom before brushing his teeth. I can't stand tainting my food or drink with toothpaste taste, and I think that it's a waste to brush before eating. Sometimes, though, I want to fortify my teeth before certain things, so I'll brush first. It's rare.
