My husband and I are having our nine year old great niece spend the weekend with us. Any advice what fun things we can do with her. I prefer to stay in the area but my husband said we could also go to downtown chicago, or fairs in other subarbs<spelling. Anyway thanks Love all you great Mom's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks you guys, we had a great weekend. We picked her up in Wauconda Il, saturday, went to Woodfield Mall. We did build a bear, Rain Forrest Cafe, got her a hoodie from Justice store, it was cold in the mall. Next day our friends invited us for swimming with their daughters. It was great fun with a BBQ. Also 2 redheads like my niece they bonded, cute. Still recovering, good girl but we are older so tired but fun. Take care Mom's
you can always catch a movie, go mini golfing.. even go to the mall for an hour.. they love claires dept. store.. it would cost 10 or less to buy something cute at claires... if you have claires in chicago.. it's a store that sells hair stuff and cute kid jewelery. How about swimming at a pool ..
or a walk by the lake. good luck.. i'm sure she will have fun..you can go get pizza and have it outside on a blanket.. like a picnic...
Well, since its extremely hot here, maybe a water park or if you prefer indoors, a child's movie, such as Despicable Me, and then a fun lunch like pizza. If she's spending the night, a fun breakfast, and a lounge day to watch movies or play board games. really these were already mentioned, but kids just like to be out and about and be fawned over. And ask her to see if she has any ideas about what she might want to do (within reason!)
Well this weekend is the Chicago Air Show so downtown will be filled with millions of people for that. How about the DuPage Children's Museum in Naperville?
