Granite Transformations

We used Granite Transformations and I personally LOVE them. We couldn't afford the non 'hokey' real granite, but needed something since the house was a foreclosure and in sad shape when we got it. I honestly don't think they look hokey at all, AND it's better than the real stuff in that you don't have to seal it...ever...and I have never used trivets or hot pads when pulling something out of the oven. You can put it right on the counter with no repercussions. It was a day of installation, and I feel good about not adding to landfill. We didn't need to redo our backsplash (which you do if you get real granite) and it cost us a fraction of the price. The company is great to deal with too. That's just been my personal actual experience. :) Good luck with whatever you decide.

If this is the company that puts a granite 'face' over your existing counter tops .... then it looks really hokey.

I saw it at a home trade show and the part that looks horrible is where it wraps around the edge... it was really thick and oddly shaped. That was a few years ago so maybe they have improved the process??

my husband is a grnite installer and i dont know what are you looking for but always look for quality granite,most the tim they sell you a granite a low price and assure you is first quality and is second hand

I have no experience with this company. However, I noticed in their advertising they say that they save on messy and expensive demolition. I just got new Cambria countertops. The demolition was really no big deal. I had the installers do it and it literally seemed to take them minutes. O.k., maybe not minutes, but definitely not long at all. 1/2 hour? And it wasn't messy. You could probably even do the demolition yourself. I don't think demolition is a reason to go that route. Price would probably be the main consideration.
