He's definately early, but those are his 2 year molars. Nothing to worry about. He'll just be losing them sooner than normal once he's older. Those teeth usually fall out at around 10-12 yrs of age.
Hello. I have a grandson that just turned one. He has four teeth on top and four on the bottom. Today we noticed that he is getting the top two teeth way in the back. Is this normal to be getting those two teeth so early. I can't remember when my children got those two teeth.
Hello. Two months ago I asked for advice/information about my little grandsons teething. He had just turned one and had 8 teeth and was getting the top two molars in the back. He is now 4 days away from turning 14 months old, and he now has 16 teeth. His mother talked to the pediatrian and was told it wasn't typical and was a bit unusual, but nothing to worry about. What are your thoughts on this. Is there anyone else that has experienced that many teeth at such a young age? I really appreciated all the responses last time. Thank you so much.

Yes, M. it can happen. In fact my two children (5.5 and 2.5) had a full mouth of teeth by the age of 1. The exception was about four molars that seemed to arrive between 1.5 and 2. My nephew (who's 9 mo.) got his first tooth at 3.5 months old. He currently has 6 teeth; with 3 on top and 3 on the bottom.
Hope this helps!
Hi M.,
Although my one-year-old only has 6 teeth, his friend who is the same age has 8 plus some molars already! I think it varies widely.

It is normal. They are called 1 year molars. And they usually hurt when they come in.
Poor little thing. That would be his twelve month molars. He will be getting all four two on top two on bottom. Good Luck!!!

I've been paying alot of attention to teeth lately weird I know. But they come and go differently in everyone. My daughter had one eye tooth on her first birthday. Her first teeth her not the front ones but on the side it looked weird. She is almost 6 and isn't anywhere near being ready to loose any teeth yet or get her 6yr. molars in but most of her friends have lost several teeth so it just varies from kid to kid. I think it's like puberty where you've got your earlybirds, your average birds, and your late birds. I've heard of babies being born with teeth before and I've personally seen toddlers almost as late as 2 years without any teeth both very rare situations.
Totally normal. The first set of molars usually show up around 1 year old. Then around 2 the second set right behind those.
My kids both got teeth early (first 2 teeth at 3 months) and both had 12 at one year and 20 before age 2. Not sure if it is normal but the doctor/dentist said there is nothing to worry about.
Those are his 1 year molars, completely normal. My daughter got hers at 10 months, and the dentist said anywhere between 10 and 13 months is perfectly normal for those teeth to come in.
Children do get one year molars so he is totally normal!
My 14 month old has all of his molars (which came around 9 months) and is getting all of his eye teeth right now. It is very normal for the molars to appear around 1. It sounds like your grandson is right on track (if there is such a thing since they all vary so much!).
