Hello,
I could use the help of all the wonderful mothers (and fathers)here. My husband's BD is Friday, I have one gift for him but he has been complaining about our Coffee maker ever since I bought it a year ago. It is a Mr. coffee and he HATES IT! I would like to buy him a new one but I could use advice on a good one. Makes good coffee, at least 10 cups, just a glass pot, programmable, must not leak. Mr. coffee one leaks all the time, very annoying!
I was thinking maybe one of the Cuisinart coffee makers, do they leak, make good coffee???
Thank you so much,
M.

We love our Bunn coffee maker. We have never had a problem with it. I will have to say they are expensive about 100 dollars, but they are well worth it and they have a great warrenty on them.

I know that one of the things on your "wish list" was programmable, but have you considered a Bunn coffeemaker? They make a great cup of coffee, last a really long time (my last one lasted 15 years), and although they are not programmable, they make 10 - 12 cups of coffee in less than 30 seconds. The decanter is glass and easy to replace if it gets broken, and they take a standard filter (you can buy Bunn filters almost anywhere, but you don't NEED to use Bunn filters). My last Bunn came from Kohl's (used a 30% coupon) and I think was about $120.00. Well worth the cost since they last so long!

Good luck!

My parents have the Bunn and they love it. He said it makes the best coffee he's ever had and it's very fast too. Also my husband is a big coffee drinker, and has used a French Press for the last 5 yrs. He would never use anything else either, the only thing with the french press, I would reccomend getting the kind with the outer plastic carafe. I have broke many before getting this one just from cleaning them. The plastic holder case protects it well.

Hate to sound like a broken record here, but go with the bunn. I've tried several different kids throught my coffee years - cuz it's cheaper than a bunn. Figuring what I've spent on all of those other ones... I should have gone with the bunn right away. It brews super fast and I haven't any problems since we bought it mmmmm?...how many years ago? I can't even remember how many years ago it's been. That should say it all ;)
Hope that helps,
~SR

bunn is always a good choice. though we just got the m.graves one from target, been great, no leaks!! (i had the same issue with the mr coffee one and it suddenly stopped working.....)it also seems to make good coffee and has a "enhanced flavor" button. we got this cuz it was cheap(er) and my sister has had hers for a while now and it's still doing great
