My daughter is turning 6 we are having a concert for her party....kids are going to sing and dance on a stage my husband is building. Girls and boys are invited...for my son we are having a jungle theme. Do any of you have any ideas for there party or the gift bags?

For my daughter's party I went to www.centurynovelty.com and got a GREAT deal! Her party was at Lets Jump so I got cute plush tye dye frogs in all different colors for 60 cents each and just tied a thing around its next that said thanks for making my party a "hoppy" one! and just gave each kid a frog! Was great for all ages there and would probably go good with the jungle theme. For the Concert one Party Warehouse as well as Big Lots and The Dollar Tree have boas for $1 and I also at the Dollar Tree got my daughter a play microphone for a $1 and they had boy colors too. Maybe stuff like inexpensive sunglasses, microphones, boas and "hollywood glam" stuff like that would be great for a concert themed party. Or check oriental trading online too as they always have cool stuff on there as well. Maybe for the concert one an activity can be making your own instraments to use in the concert and thats what they take home as a gift from the party. That is also a gender nuteral idea. How fun! Let us know what you end up doing. Fun Fun!

J.,

Those parts sound so fun, but I'm not one whom likes gift bags. I would say for your daughters party give each child something like a cool cheap pair of party glass or wigs when they walk in the door. You could probably find most of the stuff at dollar stores or at Party City. I know girls love to dress up and boys love to wear glasses and look cool. They can also use them again at home, and it is a great alternative to candy and silly toys.

For your son I would also do something small with the party them for each child, I guess it depends on how old he will be though. If the children are at the age where they can us pencils or things like that you can buy neat pencils and add a cool animal eraser to each.

I hope this helps in getting your creative juices flowing.

Ms J., I've got two websites for you for goodie bags. I just ordered enough goodies for 15 kids(valentines class party) for only $22.00. Also since you are doing a concert theme for your daughter's b-day(great idea by the way) I know a second website that has American Idol party theme with lots of great goodies. Hope this helps.

A cute idea for the jungle party favor is homemade soap with a small plastic animal in it. you can get all the things for this favor at michaels.

For the grils, what about a CD that you burned for them. There are great places to get cheap downloads, and my 6 year old loves music like High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Hillary Duff, Jump In, well anything Disney honestly!
As far as your son, what about those cheap animals at Walmart, or target. It is fun to get a little toy, rather than candy. Another fun thing might be to use the zoo pals paper plates, etc. Have fun! ~A.~
