punch is great because the recipes can be made up easily... you can really put anything you want in them and they are tasty! As long as you have some fruity flavor, some fizzy drink and some sherbert you're good to go!
There's tons of recipes out there - all depends on what color and flavor you want it to be!

The one i just used for my good friend's baby shower was pineapple juice, pink lemonade, cherry syrup, 7up, and raspberry sherbert... was the first time i made it and it was soooo delicious!
And i like to put either an icering (made of juice so it doesn't dilute the drink as it melts), ice cubes or frozen fruit to keep it cold (but the sherbert should keep it cold too!)
Have fun! :)

The one my mom always does is sherbet (lime or strawberry), 2 cans of frozen Minute Maid fruit punch and substitute ginger ale or 7Up for the water called for on the punch. She puts it out in a punch bowl with a large ladle and it's gone in no time. Yum! :)

we make a great punch with Hawaiian punch, pinapple juice and sprite. you can use generic of any of the above. if you want to you can put dips of the sherbet in it. I don't like it cause it leaves a foamy mess on my glass lol. but the punch is really good.

I've used fruit punch & 7 up. I like to put a bag of frozen strawberries in, either in addition to or instead of rainbow sherbert (I like rainbow. It's prettier.)

You can play with the ingredients to make it less or more sweet, depending on taste.

The simplest one I have is to use Cranberry Gingerale and raspberry sherbet. Throw in a punch bowl and viole!

We used to have this all the time at Christmas when I was a kid.
I think all my grandmother did was lime sherbet with 7 up poured over it. We didn't use the strawberry.

Alternative punches:

My personal favorite Juicy Juice Berry with Gingerale with the juice from two limes.

Also refreshing, flavored lemonades. Use any brand of lemonade and add any brand of juice (limeade, raspberry, strawberry, or cranberry) add limes, fresh oranges, lemons, blackberries to garnish and texture and more flavor.
