Follow That Smell

In the 'olden' days, women wore scented oil or perfume on a piece of cloth, and then wore it in a caged locket on a necklace. You can still find things like that today at auctions, antique malls, etsy, ebay, especially lovely vintage pieces

Actually you might have the smell of your lotion or perfume all day and not realize it. The olfactory unit becomes accustomed to a smell within a few minutes, then it doesn't smell it anymore. It might be that you do have the scent of whatever you're wearing all day.

If you think you truly don't, make sure you're putting your perfume on your wrists, throat, and behind your knees. These are major pulse points and will make your scent stronger.

I don't wear perfume, it gives me the sneezes. I do smell good all day mind you, it doesn't travel (no perfume) but it is there. It is a combination of Bounce, Nexxus, and Dove deodorant.

I defy you to get the smell of Bounce out of your clothes in one day! :p

Oh if you really want perfume to last all day make sure it is perfume (oil) not cologne (alcohol).

I much prefer to smell nothing.

I use Vanilla Bean Noel from Bath & Body Works..you can only get it in the fall. It's light and just a little sweet, like you've been making cookies. I use the body wash, body spray and lotion. I add a little more lotion to my hands throughout the day whenever they're feeling a little dry. Most people will all of a sudden say, wow, who smells so good? :)

OK, I use bath and body works spray. I keep it in my car and spritz myself on the way to work (because I forget at home). You don't want to be overpowering or use a scent that is unappealing to alot of people. I use the vanilla one that has an infusion of something...right now it is apricot/vanilla...love it!

Are you using perfume or Eau de toilette? The perfume has actual oils in that will adhere to your skin but the EDT is alcohol based which will not and faded very quickly. The best way I have found to smell good all day is to use the same body shower soap, same lotion and then spray….

I wear Amazing Grace by Philosophy and constantly get compliments on how good I smell : )

I bet other's can smell your perfume after you can't anymore. I notice that I can smell mine all day long it is a new brand, but after that first time my body is used to the smell and quits identifying it.

Bath and body works…Warm vanilla sugar, spray, lotion, hand sanitizer....for those mamma's that are single and "looking” that scent drives men crazy =)

My favorite is Zen Perfume Eau de Cologne Pure Mist by Shiseido will last all day (and night) stays on your clothing too!!! But Too Pricey for this single mom...

I agree that you just might not be smelling yourself. But it's still there.

The best thing to do is keep something in your desk and give a little spritz at lunchtime.
