This isn't necessarily something to do on halloween, but it was a great seasonal outing. Last year we took our kids to Ford Family Farm in Marion. They had a ton of stuff for the kids to do. It's $6 per person (2 and under are free) and the kids loved it. They had a hay bale maze, which we couldn't get the kids out of! They had a station set up where the kids can paint pumpkins, which my daughter still talks about. They have a little ride for the kids, and then they have a big hay ride. Last year they said it was too wet for them to have the big field where you can go pick your own pumpkin, so they just had a set-up in the barn where they had all the pumpkins laid out and you could pick one, but they said this year they were gonna have the field where you can go out and pick your own. It was a great outing for my kids, and well worth the money!

The zoo has the "zoo boo" on Halloween. You can go around the zoo at night in your constume and trick or treat. Trick or treating is up to your individual community or home owners association. Some communities really do it up and have block parties and such.

We go to the zoo every year for Zoo Boo. The kids love it. They have been going since they were in strollers. There is also Fiesta Texas. They do halloween on weekends.

Hi. Trick or treating is Halloween night. Most parents with young children start about 6 or 6:30 in my neighborhood. By 8:30 or 9 we get the teenagers with pillowcases! Ha! In my neighborhood in NW SA near 1604 we also find about halfway through the evening that we get carloads of kids their parents bring here who don't live in our neighborhood. Also we follow leaving porch lights off if not giving out treats. Don't know if everywhere does this.

Other places: some churches hold carnivals, usually Crossroads Mall has trick or treating in their halls and I'm not sure about other malls. It's usually on the news when the time gets closer, and the radio.

Another close place (after reading other emails) that is similar to one mentioned is The Maize in Hondo, TX, west on Hwy. 90 from Loop 410. info: www.cornfieldmaze.com They do a different design in the corn maze each year. We took Girl Scouts but lots of little kids there too. Great fun!

At Grace Point church on Huebner road they have a ton of games for the kids to participate in and get candy. Along with some live music and other little things happening. It is a lot of fun and a safe spot for the kids!
There is no information on there yet that I could find, but here is their website: http://gracepoint.org/

The Alamo Quarry off of 281 has a Halloween night. There are a lot of participating stores and Radio Disney has been out there the past few years. It is also cute to see all the other children dressed in their costumes and it is free.
