I like Clos du Bois or Valpolicella for reds.
I am looking for a cabernet, merlot or pinot noir. I know you can spend a ton of money on a good bottle of wine. I want something that is under $30. I really enjoy Clois Du Val but am looking for something different. I also like Smoking Loon and it is only about $8.00 a bottle. My anniversary is in April and I don't know exactly what we are doing but thought I would have a good bottle on hand. Thanks for any suggestions.

Mirrassou -- may have too many r's or s's :). It's Pino Noir is AMAZING. It is only about $10 a bottle, but my absolute fav!
Swanson Merlot! It is around $25 usually, but can be a little hard to find. Central Market carries at as well as many larger wine stores. It is by far my favorite wine. Their Cabernet, the Alexis, is really incredible too but that is much more expensive. Everyone I know who has tried either one has loved it.
Hi S.,
My favorite wine is Patricia Green Whistling Ridge Pinot Noir. It's an Oregon wine and ohhh sooo good! I order bottles of it online for holidays and special occassions, you can find it for about $30 online. I haven't found anyone local that carries it.
Good luck and Happy Anniversary!

Hi S., I have a business selling wine!! Visit my website www.TasteYourWineAtHome.com and it will be shipped to your door, plus you will receive a great recipe that was designed to compliment the wine, so you'll know what to serve for dinner!! All of our wines are limited production Artisan Wines that cannot be found in any stores. Right now we have agreat cabernet, it is a Pied Violet Reserve and it it it so yummy, It has strong ripe plums and Bing Cherry flavors, with an underlay of sweet oak and dried herbs. We also have a great Halcyon 2005 Corsican Pinot Noir. It has a silky smooth mouthfeel which carries the flavors of Cherries and Red Apples, and ends with a little Anise. The recipe that goes with the Pinot is wonderful!!
If you would be interested in sampling the wines before you choose what to buy let me know and we can set up a private wine tasting for you and your friends and family. that is why I do this, most people either buy the same thing over and over, because they don't want to waste their money, it is my goal that you never again buy a wine you do not like.
I live in Colleyville and we have a GREAT wine boutique, Tivoli Wines - they have free wine tastings every Saturday...you guys should come out. They also have a Wine Club where you can pay $30 per month, enjoy a monthly Member Party with a wine tasting...then you go home with 2 bottles of wine. They have some fsbulous reds in the $10 - $15 range. Check them out! Say J. and Travis sent you...they'll take care of you :-)
