I'm planning a stock your freezer party and looking for good meals that freeze well. Any suggestions? and if you have any recipes that are family favorites that would be great too!

So What Happened?

Thanks for the book recommendation. I will definitely check it out at the library!

So far, I'm thinking about chicken pot pies, sweedish meatballs, soups....not sure what else yet.

There is a book called fix, freeze, feast that I got from the library once and it was great. You bought in bulk and created maybe 4 to 6 meals of it and froze them. If you are doing a freezer party and had like 4-5 friends doing it, it would really be fun and inexpensive.
I tried a few of the recipes before I returned the book and they were all great. I can't remember which I tried - sorry.
But I would highly reccommend that book for a freezer party for ideas.

I'm not big on making and freezing but my Mom will occasionally make large batches of soups-they freeze and thaw very nicely. We like chicken corn and vegetable but I don't know her exact recipe.

What a great idea!!! I think I might throw a freeze it party, but I would like to know more about the party. How do you divide the cost of food? What about containers? How any dishes do you make? How many people do you invite?
I like to freeze cooked noodles, cook hamburger and some cooked chicken to help me make my dinners faster.

I make lazagna, chili, ham and bean soup, cook up taco meat (chicken or ground beef), beef stew, meat/veggies for fahitas. Let me know what else you come up with.

Mini Meatloaves! Use your favorite meatloaf recipe but bake it in muffin tins! It was THE BEST THING I had in my freezer on my maternity leave! One of those, a microwave baked potato and something green (Green beans, salad, brocoli) make a quick and hearty meal that satisfied even new nursing mom hunger.

And if you have picky eaters it's easy to leave the onions or whatever out of part of them.
